Could not agree w/ u more on this. We need a guy who is 6'3 or 6'4 who is a possesion wr.

no we really dont NEED that at all i mean it couldnt hurt or could it in 2005 we didnt have that what we need to bring back are those screen passes that were so efective for santana and use them for antwaan and brandon that is what we need we dont nned a 6'3 or 6'4 reciever the steelers didnt have that when they won the super bowl and neither did the pats

i don't understand why people get so enamored with height. the redskins have 3 legitimate nfl starting receivers right now. when is the last time you could say that about this team? the posse?

Wow, if this won't get you geeked about Campbell nothing will:

A CAMPBELL SPECIAL

At this time of year, during organized team activities, many players are said to look good.

But Washington quarterback Jason Campbell is said to look especially good.

After two years in the league as an understudy, and four hours each day this winter and spring in Washington's training facility simply studying, Campbell is said to look like a different quarterback, Redskins officials said this week.

One observer even predicted, boldly, that Campbell would go to the Pro Bowl this season.

Of course it's a long way from Washington in May to Hawaii in February, but Campbell has demonstrated improved technique, understanding and confidence. And after a week of OTA's, he has been the most talked about player in the Redskins organization.

"It's unanimous from everybody," one Redskins official said this week. "You can definitely see it. He's like a totally different quarterback. The receivers have been like, 'Wow.' "

Much of the credit belongs to Washington offensive coordinator Al Saunders and quarterbacks coach Bill Lazor, who have poured their energies and time into Campbell's offseason training.

But Campbell also has recognized that the Redskins need him to step up in a way that Patrick Ramsey and Mark Brunell and every other Washington quarterback in recent seasons hasn't.

So far he has. But the key will be whether he will continue it in training camp and then into the regular season.

Oh baby...

I'm beginning to salivate. Nothing impacts this game like a stud QB.

Well, the Steelers had a really really good defense. We don't. Pats have Tom Brady and a really really good defense. We don't.

The opposing defensive coordinators have caught on to that screen pass. It didn't work at all last year. Teams were waiting for it.

I have to go back again and dispute that Brandon Lloyd is a legitimate WR - I have posted the link to his stats for the past 4 years and I just can't see why people are enamored with the guy. If your best year was 48 receptions for 733 yds I would not call that stellar or legitimate - espescially in today's pass happy nfl. Overall he is averageing 32 receptions, 469 yds and 3.25 TD's a year - the numbers speak for themselves and if you were a GM would you honestly pick up a guy with these numbers to be your number 2 WR? Just think how much more dangerous Moss would be if he was not double covered as often as he is if we had a legitimate #2.

Blame it on the qb, blame it on the team, blame it on the system, blame it on everything else but the player - that is what a Brandon Lloyd defender does.

I could not disagree with you more. The Posse one year, I believe it was 89 all went over 1,000 yards. Monk is a HOFer. Clark is just below Monk. Sanders went off on Denver in the SB. All three of these guys have done in at the highest level. I don't think Lloyd and ARE have even gotten close to having 1,000 seasons. So there is no way you can put any of these guys, including Moss, in the league of the Posse. Again you are talking about one HOFer and in Clark a guy who is just below Monk. and if you ask many coaches who played against the SKins in that era Clark was the guy who teams feared most.

We have one legit NFL wr. The others, so far, have not proved to be legit NFL wr's. They certainly have the potential but they have to do it on the field on a consistent basis. If Moss can stay healthy the next few years I think he can be just as good as Clark. But he is not there yet.
