Has anybody gone there? I heard it on DC 101 which peaked my curiosity. I basically roamed around for three days on it. It is pretty boring for the most part. I beleive it is just a collection of interverts. I just wanted to see if anyone else has been.

I don't understand the appeal, but it's huge apparently. I think John Edwards has a second life character and "campaigns" there. The NBA has a presence there.
I think Daseal is a big second life guy

After the way the killed it on Elliot last week I don't think I could ever spend any time on it.
I spend 8 hours a day staring mindlessly at the computer while I'm at work, I don't need to do that for another 8 hours staring my computer when I get home.

This is exactly how I am. 8 hours of HTML code and crappy text graphics and I've had enough. I get home and want nothing to do with the PC. I force myself to pay bills twice a month on the computer, and aside for a little porn surfing, that's about it.

I've been listening on EITM too, but I've never tried it. No insight here!

2nd life is a game where you can spend/make real money. The whole concept is somewhat interesting, we've covered it in some of my classes. Huge political campaigns there, lots of brothels, strippers, etc. Even job fairs: TMP Worldwide - NiW Registration - About the Event (http://www.networkinworld.jobs/about_event.aspx)
