yes, I've posted about the same prediction in some other threads. I'm not saying that they will suck, but I think there in for a tougher time than everybody seems to think. they've changed their formula for getting personnel and it will take some adjusting to.
PLus they have let a no. of vets go over the last couple of years & now they're bringing in 7-8 new vets, so you have to think chemistry could at the very least take them some time.
2007 Pats go 9-7 and miss the playoffs. (Brady might be due for an injury too)

I do think they're going to have their worst defense in years and that's going to cost them more than a couple of games that they should otherwise win.
But, I don't really think Moss is going to be the headcase/cancer that many people are already predicting. I don't think he's ever been as bad as TO and remember how he did in his first season in Philly.
I really think that Moss is desperate to win big so that he can secure his place as one of the top all time WRs.
I do like the fact that they've gone all out getting free agents and that their top draft pick could be the next Pacman but the media is still all over their collective sacks. If they win it all I wonder if people will still say that you can't build a great team through free agency.

The Pats just because they have made a splash in signing free agents still have their share of young and talented players. If I'm correct they had something like 9 draft pick just this year so its not like they traded them all away like we did. I expect they will have a good season and one of the top teams to beat. It also seems like allot of people around here are spendining allot of time worring about what going on with the Pats this year. I think this is like the 3rd or 4th thread about them.
If Brady and Moss get on the same page early, I think that offense is going to be very hard to stop.

I grew up in NEwport RI as a Redskin fan. The whole time I lived there all the "PATS FANS" were f-ing Giants fans.

Bellicheck has 1 of his toughest years ahead I think. Blending that young talent, assuming they drafted well & a no. of those guys make the team, with the vets they're bringing is enough, but add to that one of the vets is Moss. I'm not saying Moss is gonna be to on em, but he's still a tough personality to deal with if there's any adversity.
I wondered too why there are so many threads on the pats. It's because they're trying to "buy" a championship & we can all relate to that!

I remember national criticism dropping in heaps at the feet of Dan Snyder and our Redskins for constantly winning the NFL's offseason.
This year, the Patriots have won the offseason.
Nobody knows better than Redskin fans that winning the offseason does not necessarily lead to winning the Super Bowl.
