If re really want a good d-lineman shouldn't we act like we are fine. Otherwise the player has leverage.

At least we KNOW we NEED a DE...if they want something, they usually get it. holcknowsbest 05-03-2007, 10:38 PM will smith is reportedly unhappy and he is a straight bad ass. i heard burgess in oakland was unhappy two, that guy has had 30 plus sacks in two years, most in the nfl. lavar arrington hahaha i only wish we had the ball too and he had the heart to come back, i am sorry but i love that fucker. seriously though how about trying to trade for julius peppers, who is in the final year of his contract i am pretty sure. we would most likely have to give up next years 1 and 2 and maybe 3 for him, is he worth it, i think so but that sounds like a madden trade. how about one of the bears defensive ends, trade for alex brown. and my last maybe trade comes from buffalo and his name is aaron schobal. Aussie_Skins_Fan 05-04-2007, 03:39 AM i heard burgess in oakland was unhappy two, that guy has had 30 plus sacks in two years, most in the nfl. I doubt oakland would trade or cut him, their defense was great last year, why change it!? If he is that unhappy they have got the cap room to pay him! seriously though how about trying to trade for julius peppers, who is in the final year of his contract i am pretty sure. we would most likely have to give up next years 1 and 2 and maybe 3 for him, is he worth it, i think so Seriously, this will NEVER happen. Kris Jenkins may be worth looking into, i've read that Carolina are shopping him and he would make a great addition to the d-line (Provided he could stay healthy) dmek25 05-04-2007, 04:54 AM you guys ever hear of something called the salary cap? RobH4413 05-04-2007, 06:59 AM I'm down with trading and the sorts... I'm just trying to hold on to some of those draft picks for a little while. SC Skins Fan 05-04-2007, 08:55 AM I wouldn't be opposed to having Kearse in camp for vet min. I wouldn't hold your breath on that one. Even injury prone pass rushers don't often sign for the vet min. will smith is reportedly unhappy and he is a straight bad ass. i heard burgess in oakland was unhappy two, that guy has had 30 plus sacks in two years, most in the nfl. lavar arrington hahaha i only wish we had the ball too and he had the heart to come back, i am sorry but i love that ****. seriously though how about trying to trade for julius peppers, who is in the final year of his contract i am pretty sure. we would most likely have to give up next years 1 and 2 and maybe 3 for him, is he worth it, i think so but that sounds like a madden trade. how about one of the bears defensive ends, trade for alex brown. and my last maybe trade comes from buffalo and his name is aaron schobal. And maybe the Skins can pick up Dwight Freeny, he is unhappy in Indy and skipping voluntary workouts. Hell, if we give up next year's 6th round pick they would probably throw in Manning, Harrison, and Wayne. WELCOME TO FANDOM! (Hopefully it isn't necessary, but obviously this is sarcasm) SmootSmack 05-04-2007, 09:04 AM smootsmack, what kind of decent linemen are available? kearse gets hurt getting out of bed in the morning Dmek sends the 3-0 fastball down to the middle, Smootsmack takes a swing and...sends Justin Smith over the leftfield wall!!! Um, all the guys being mentioned Burgess, Justin Smith, Will Smith, Jazz, Carlton Banks wushawn 05-04-2007, 09:22 AM Call me crazy, but I really like the fact we have all of our draft picks. I know our line is older then christmas but lets see what our defence is like healthy this year. We can draft some guys next year for the line which would be a helluva lot more cap friendly. PLUS, I understand our D sucked last year but football is a team sport, what about our OFFENCE, if they can keep the D off the field with the run and get some leads, that might help to right? |
