What pressure? You either go watch some horses with a friend you've never met or your not going to meet him. He asked you as a friend. As far as I'm concernd there are no other implications.

It's three weeks from now!! I don't know if I have plans!!!

Please that is lame. Is there anything in your calendar for that date at this moment? If not, then you are simply waiting to see if something better comes along. If there is nothing there now - then block the time out, go with 12th, and tell anybody else that comes along that unfortunately that time is now taken - IF that is your inclination. Yes, it is three weeks away - all the more reason to give the man the courtesy of a prompt decisive response so he can plan accordingly.

Look, I'll agree that you got put on the spot AND that you and 12th can do whatever the hell you want and it is none of our damn business - but the "I don't know what I'm doing yet" is simply no excuse for not answering.

It is equally wrong and neither sex should waste their time with people lacking the courtesy or courage to answer truthfully.

That just means we're stalling until we can think of something better to do. Duh!

Are you suggesting that because some men lack the ability to treat women they are not really interested well, mimicing their behavior is acceptable?

Back to the thread question: The odds are 1 in 2. I am a freakin wiz at statistics so don't bother checking my work.
