The Redskins home page mentioned 3 existing QBs on our roster. We have Casey Bramlet in NFL Europe and now 2 more via the draft and UFA. That makes a total of 6!

What happens to all of these QBs???

I know Brunell won't last much longer, but how can they utilize 3 young quarterbacks and a back up who has only started a handful of games?

They'll carry three on the active roster, probably another on the practice squad if any are decent, and someone (or two) will likely be cut. Including Todd Collins assuming Brunell is ok to go by training camp.

Check this kid Mason out. He's pretty sick. He seem's to have great vision and he makes some great cuts at full speed without losing a step. I hope we found something here.

Lost and found: undrafted free agents face the longest of odds, but there have been plenty in recent years who have made it out of the NFL wilderness Football Digest - Find Articles (http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0FCL/is_4_32/ai_94123519)

Despite those challenges, the list of undrafted players currently making their living in the NFL is impressive. Some of the more prominent names include: quarterbacks Kurt Warner and Jeff Garcia; receivers Smith, Wayne Chrebet, Oronde Gadsmen, Terrence Wilkins, and David Patten; running backs Priest Holmes, James Allen. Dominic Rhodes, Mack Strong, and Stacey Mack; offensive linemen James "Big Cat" Williams, Derrick Deese, Jeff Saturday, Matt Lepsis, and Mark Dixon; defenders Eric Hicks, London Fletcher, Hollis Thomas, Sammy Knight, Willie Whitehead, and Pat Williams; kickers Adam Vinatieri and Olindo Mare; and punter Tom Rouen.

Wow, there are some GOOD players on this list. I would have guessed maybe 2-3% made it...this list suggests it is likely a little higher than that. Good post. Thanks for the info.

I guess you're suggesting he be our #3?

IF they weren't drafted it tells you something. Snyder always does this, signs a bunch of non drafted guys and none of them amount to a hill of beans. Surprised he only signed 9 this year.

Every owner on every team signs a bunch of players that don't get drafted. Often times, later round prospects prefer not to get drafted because it gives them more freedom to sign where they want to.

Hmmm, Redskins.com doesn't say anything about OG Tucker Peterson or WR Jesse Wendt that SmootSmack's thread said we also signed. I hope we actually did grab that Peterson kid. He sounds solid. Anyone know what's up with these two?

This article seems to say that Peterson hasn't exactly signed yet

Offensive guard Tucker Peterson of Clarendon, Vt. makes it three-for-three for last yea's captains as far as getting a shot at the NFL.

The Washington Redskins called yesterday morning and invited Peterson to take part in mini-camp this weekend.

They had not offered him a contract as of last night.

"They'll put me through some drills and see if they want to sign me a contract," Peterson said. "Right now I'm an unsigned free agent."

The Bears have also expressed an interest in Peterson and if they were to offer a contract, he could go there instead. And if neither of those options work out, the New York Jets have invited him to their camp, which starts next Tuesday.

Peterson intends to drill out at both guard and center in mini-camp. It was tough watching the draft and not being picked and then waiting to hear from teams Sunday night, Peterson said.

"You have your goal right in front of you and can't quite get it and then you wait and wait and you're positive you'll get a call and it doesn't come," he said. "It was frustrating until this morning. Now I'll try to make the most of it."

Well, at least he'll be working out for us first. Hopefully he'll come prepared, have a solid a few solid workouts, and we'll get him signed before he even has a chance to leave Redskins park. Maybe he and Buges will hit it off. One can hope, right?
