The words "long term" and "may" don't prove anything in this case. It's just pure speculation on your part. I would probably say that you are wrong. If this guy was on steriods it he would have got caught because of all the testing they do. Perhaps the guy just had a bad heart and it failed. Isn't heart failure the number one killer in America? Same thing happened to Reggie White. His heart failed while he was asleep. I doubt Reggie took steriods.
I'm not trying to "prove" anything. All I said was the circumstances are fishy. And me speculating that Mitchell may have done steroids is no different than you speculating that Reggie White never took steroids.
Personally I don't see the need for tossing around the word steriods here until we have more info. In fact I think it's a bit disrespectful to his family.

I'm not going to even comment any further. RIP Kevin.

If I thought Kevin Mitchell's family would read this thread, I certainly would have kept it to myself. And again, even if steroids were involved, that doesn't make his death any less tragic. If anything, I'd blame the NFL in this particular case for pushing these guys so hard.

You never really know who's reading here... and once the thread is indexed in search engines this thread could easily show up in search results for Kevin Mitchell.

This is from JLC's blog today:
Friends of Mitchell's say they have heard that sleep apnea and hypertension are two possible reasons for the enlarged heart and massive heart attack he suffered in his sleep Sunday night/Monday morning. The death of the 36-year old LB has deeply saddened many at Redskins Park and he will not be forgotten.
The Harrisburg native has a fund in his honor set up for deserving kids in his home town.
