For as much as I hate to say it, cause I HATE the Pats, they set their passing game up GREATLY!
1- Moss
2- Stallworth
3- Washington
4- Welker
That might be the best WR corp in the NFL. Having an accurate guy like Brady throwing them the ball is scary. However, having 2 head cases (Moss and Stallworth) this could implode on them.

Trust me guys, Moss still has it. Especially if he thinks he's going to get a ring. How can you get motivated when you have a guarenteed contract and a team that is lucky to win 2 games???? Moss is a GREAT pickup.

Remember they still have Chad Jackson and Mr. Reliable Troy Brown too. I think Kelly Washington will probably get cut.

Troy Brown is no longer with the Patriots. I guess he's not so reliable. haha. As of March 2nd, he was a free agent.

Washington has more talent than Jackson, therefore will make the club over him if they choose to cut one. Washington is a great WR but hasn't had the opportunity yet. The Patriots have a gem there.

calling it landry will start week one

No he won't. He'll get PT, but no start. Williams system is too complex for him to get that quickly.
Also, I anticipate a contract issue with him...don't know why...just a hunch.

They were great last year, when their best receiver was the dude who dropped numerous TO balls in the AFC championship.

I anticipate a contract dispute as well. The Skins have a tight cap situation in upcoming years, and paid Taylor, their number 5 overall pick about 18.5 mil over 7 years, thats about 2.5 mil a year. Vernon Davis at the number 6 pick last year got alot (I think 25 mil over 6 years). Landry and his agent will refer to the money Davis got, and might want more than that because of the significant raise in the cap and also because he was widely believed to be the best D player in the draft. The skins will refer to taylor's contract and the small amount of cap space that they have to pay him.

The NE passing attack should be excellent. But with Tom Brady at QB, that is not a new development.

We match up as well as anybody in the league against the patriots receivers if Springs is with the team and healthy. Unfortunately, we will not be generating any pressure on Brady unless we blitz. Giving Brady all day back there is not a workable game plan, so we'll have to blitz too much and as a result will probably give up some big plays. Moreover, since the Pats generally favor quick drops and fast reads, they are not a great team to blitz against in the first place. GW will have to be incredibly creative to keep that offense off balance. Our offense will really have to show up to keep that game close. Of course, that game is not going to be played for a long time. A lot can happen between now and then.

You don't refer to players drafted several years ago when you are negotiating rookie contracts. The draft picks have a slot payment usually based on last years picks and how much the selections make immediately before and after them. Taylor will be watching, however. Turning to Cooley is what I'd do now if I'm the skins. You don't want him to walk. We will have to take some time to see how Taylor and LL mesh before redoing Taylor's contract, IMO.

Probably not going to happen, but I hope that their offense struggles much like ours did after alot of new aqquisitions.

The difference is NE has Tom Brady in his prime and we had an Mark Brunell. BIG DIFFERENCE. Just look at Brady's numbers w/ a bunch of cast offs last year. I don't think there is a QB in the NFL that see's the field and spreds the ball around like Brady.

I remember Washington when he came out of Tenn. He had a lot hype but it never really translated to the field. He got beat out by jailbird Chris Henry. Of couse Chad Jackson had the same hype too. We shall see. NE has a very crowded WR situation.
