Patriots' passing game: great or not?EARTHQUAKE2689 04-30-2007, 02:42 AM Only if Landry is starting or seeing significant playing time by then. calling it landry will start week one KLHJ2 04-30-2007, 02:43 AM calling it landry will start week one It would be nice, but even Taylor didn't start week one. EARTHQUAKE2689 04-30-2007, 02:49 AM It would be nice, but even Taylor didn't start week one. true but who will stop him fox no stoudmire no and priloeau uh no so he better be on the field week one cracking ted ginn's head KLHJ2 04-30-2007, 02:54 AM true but who will stop him fox no stoudmire no and priloeau uh no so he better be on the field week one cracking ted ginn's head While he is probably more physically gifted than those other Safeties, it will all depend on how quickly he picks up the mental part of the defense. EARTHQUAKE2689 04-30-2007, 02:58 AM While he is probably more physically gifted than those other Safeties, it will all depend on how quickly he picks up the mental part of the defense. true but he should pick it up quick started 48 games and hs style of play fits right into the skis d gregg williams must be drooling right now with all the safety blitzes that we will see KLHJ2 04-30-2007, 03:02 AM true but he should pick it up quick started 48 games and hs style of play fits right into the skis d gregg williams must be drooling right now with all the safety blitzes that we will see While I agree, lets hope that they keep one of them back to defend the pass on those blitzes. Crat92 04-30-2007, 03:31 AM Pats will be great in the passing game! Moss is going to open up so many things for so many people! GTripp0012 04-30-2007, 04:11 AM It would only be over kill if they paid alot of money or gave up alot (draft picks) to get these players. They did neither. They really thought this through and made some shrewd moves. I am very impressed by them. Their defense is loaded and now their offense is as well. This is true. It's overkill from the talent perspective, but there is nothing wrong with that if you are paying your talent much less than market value. In this case, it can be argued that the Pats aren't really investing too much in their offensive skill positions despite the vast spread of talent. KLHJ2 04-30-2007, 05:09 AM Yes, but you get that luxury when you are a consistent winner. EARTHQUAKE2689 04-30-2007, 08:56 AM While I agree, lets hope that they keep one of them back to defend the pass on those blitzes. i know hopefully one will always be back in coverage and when both of them are back there look out we are going to see a lot of people on jacked up this year |
