I voted on the fence because there is no way knowing which is true for all draft picks. You just don't know. I will say that watching the films of him on this site he looks alot like ST.
It's LaRon Landry!firstdown 04-30-2007, 02:36 PM I voted on the fence because there is no way knowing which is true for all draft picks. You just don't know. Did we cut Nehemiah? 12thMan 04-30-2007, 03:05 PM Yeah, that's so typical. Give some examples. At no. 6, this was the right choice. No one, not even the vaunted Okoye was as good a choice at #6. Now, would we have better off trading down and getting more players. Yeah probably, but as someone (I believe Offiss) pointed out, it takes more than one team to complete a trade. And with a deep draft on D, like this year's, it's not as easy to make a trade. It's also worth noting that Landry played against more talented teams in the SEC more regularly than Okoye did within the Big East. mike340 04-30-2007, 03:26 PM I liked the fact that they said his tackles dropped his senior season because opposing offensive coords stayed away from him. To me it says a lot more than the fact that he hits hard. 12thMan 04-30-2007, 03:27 PM I liked the fact that they said his tackles dropped his senior season because opposing offensive coords stayed away from him. Could they be thinking along these lines? wolfeskins 04-30-2007, 03:38 PM i love the pick. sure it would have been nice to trade out of the 6 spot and gather more picks but the skins could not find a dance partner. so that means they have to chose someone at 6. landry was the best choice, he was the best defensive player in the draft plus it gives the skins an awsome defensive backfield. Beemnseven 04-30-2007, 04:01 PM Can't there be a choice of "Like it" ?? I don't hate it, I don't love it, so I chose on the fence. 12thMan 04-30-2007, 04:28 PM Here's a legit question: How tall is this kid? I've seen in one official place that he's 6.0 1/2 and on another 'official' website that he's 6'2". Is it possible he entered his frosh year at 6.0 and then grew to 6'2" by his senior year? itvnetop 04-30-2007, 06:41 PM Barring any injury, people will love this pick soon. I have a feeling we'll all start loving the pick by preseason. |
