I welcome a LONGER season, hope it happens.

I think they should go to 18 and cut out 2 of the meaningless pre-season games.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. On one hand, I'd love a longer season, but with 16 games how beatup are many teams come playoff time?

I'd venture to guess not significantly more beat up, it's only one game, and they'd be removing one preseason game as it is.
Besides, all the teams would be dealing with the same schedule, they'd all be on equal levels when it comes to being beat up.
Maybe you think about giving a bye week for all teams to rest up before the playoffs begin? I dunno.
Overall it'd be a good move, getting rid of one of the ridiculous preseason games and exchanging it for a game that counts would be win-win in my eyes.

The league is also talking about playing the Super Bowl overseas and moving the Pro Bowl up to the week before the Super Bowl.
Is Goodell trying too hard to fix a good thing, or does he know something we don't?

Agreed. The Superbowl is an American institution. There's no way in hell a bunch of Frenchies or even English soccer hooligans could appreciate it for what it is.
And the Pro Bowl before the Superbowl is an interesting idea. More people would watch it, but I bet neither of the Superbowl teams would allow their players to participate.
