Bullshit, you just say you do. How do you know how those families feel about losing friends or loved ones like that, or being shot, unless you were there at the scene. Total bullshit, and our guys don't get treated like crap by our govt? Look at the VA Hospitals across the nation? No health care, inadequate body armor, low on weapons, ammo, etc.. Amd I didn't express empathy for US servicemen either. They signed up to do the job, just using a letter that a pissed off GI wrote back after the VA Tech shootings saying why aren't the flags down for them. What a bunch of pussies!!!!!!
You know what? Just take a chill pill because you don't even know what you are talking about nor do you have the mental capacity to try and understand.

To Whom it may concern,
Every once in a while a young U.S. soldier gets upset and lets his/ her feelings out because they are stressed out. What they fail to realize sometimes is the big picture. The Military takes good care of their own to the best of their abilities. Yes at times they are undermanned. News flash there is a war going on and all of their Doctors and Nurses are guess what? Servicemembers as well, so more of them are needed in the combat zone. Housing on some military installations is sub-par but they have been remodeling housing throughout the military for years. It takes Time and Money. True most units did not have adequate body armor when the war first started because it wasn't supplied to everybody at the time, only "Combat Arms" received body armor. The Government cared enough to get it to them when they realized that it was badly needed.
The key thing here is that everything costs money. If you use tax money to increase Servicemembers pay then there is less money for Body Armor and Housing. Everything is give and take in a Capitalist society.
Servicemembers are not weak. Most do not mind helping each other out even when they are in need themselves. All of them have a little bit of medical training and some have alot. They depend on each other more than anyone else in the world.
So a young GI got pissed about the Flag being half mast for the VT shootings, and was curious why it wasn't down for him. Well, there are two days a year that the Flag goes half mast for him and all of his "Battle Buddies" 1. Memorial Day, and 2.Veterans Day. He probably didn't stop to think about that.
Yes, our military is an all volunteer military, and they raise their right hand, sign twice, and initial 13 times to serve their country. They do not want your sympathy, but rather your respect for having done what most do not wan't to do.
If you really want to make a difference, then either stop complaining about paying taxes or Volunteer yourself. Otherwise just step out of the way and give them their due respect.
In this day and age we have all seen men and women be killed by shooting, burning, falling and blowing up. Everybody has lost someone close to them at some point. Some just a little more than others. No matter who it is or where they are from we should all have sorrow, because we all have a common bond and it's called hamanity.
P.S. Who is the greater pussy, the man who volunteers to possibly lose his life for the greater good, or the man that never sacrifices anything, and bitches about everything that is wrong?
