Different thread same old conclusions.

If it's anything related to the draft AT ALL, you'll get the same outcome.

Ive been meaning to start this thread for weeks but havent had the time. If we could trade with the Patriots, and end up with Merriwhether and a dlinemen, that would be an amazing draft.

Merriwhether has been considered to be the best safety in the league for the last 2-3 years. Every scout had him penciled in as a top ten pick until the brawl where he ran and stepped on a guy. Yes, thats a character issue, he lost his cool in that game and never should have done that, but the guy can play and his stock dropped.

If you read recent mock drafts most people having him omving back up into the mid first round.

Everyone here loves Sean Taylor, well Merriwhether was his counterpart when he had that amazing year in Miami. His a four year guy, lots of experience. Mark my word he'll be a starter for some team this year.

Ok, now pretend he's not from Miami. Imagine that he's Brandon Merriwhether from the Texas A & M. Now, what would your evaluation of him be, and in comparison to Landry, Griffin, and Nelson.

we need another hard hitting safety like we need a whole in our head. the idea of two safeties that want to make the big hit doesnt seem like a very smart idea. We need to trade down pick up a couple of more late round picks and draft someone to help with our much maligned defensive line.

While people have been pushing for the sexy pick of Landry, why shouldn't I suggest the smarter pick of Meriweather, Why not trade with someone like the Patriots pick up their 2 first rounders and add a COVER-safety with expierence playing beside ST and a D-lineman in the same round... Did I mention cap friendly players as well.

Or we could pick a guy projected to go in the 5 round or later and really confuse, and piss us off.
