But what teams have ever built success around a top 10 WR pick. I mean, teams have won games with a top 10 WR on their roster, but usually they have to make another really smart top 10 pick to get over the hump.

The closest example I can think of is when the Rams drafted Torry Holt. It seemed like he was the piece of that offensive puzzle that really helped that team fire on all cylinders. But even then they took Orlando Pace first, I believe.

Ultimately though, I agree -- WRs aren't the make or break thing for offenses. You have to build a solid line first and foremost.

For anyone who wants to trade up to nab CJ at #2, do people realize that we'd have to give him a deal (assuming it is six years) worth more than $60M with guaranteed money at or exceeding $23M? That's the deal Reggie Bush got and we'd have to exceed it. I don't know of a player who is worth about 10% of a team's cap or a WR worth an average of $10M per year.
