Adams-liability against the run
Branch-too much money to risk on his character
Russell/Quinn-we have a QB
Thomas-we have tackles
Peterson-we are stacked at RB
Landry-We really need to adresss d-line
I wont be mad at all if we picked Landry because he seems like he can make things happen, and i wont be that upset if we get branch or adams because at least it bolsters up our d-line.

If Thomas falls, just EXPECT the offers to be rolling in from people who need his help. If he fell, we hit the jackpot.
Yeah I think you're right. I just can't see how the only plan we aren't pursuing is setting up like 25 different potential trade downs and then letting 1-5 happen and take whichever trade down deal is the best left. From what I have read and heard most scouts look at this as a 6 player draft. At 6 we are in the best position to maxmize value of ALL teams in the top 6. There is going to be someone available at 6 that multiple teams want. And most likely we won't need that guy. Better to trade down and pick up a 2nd or something and take a guy we need.
I can even see trading up for Johnson. But if we stick at 6 I will be pissed.

I still think it's win-win. If we trade down, I'll be slightly upset, but at six, we're still going to get someone great.
I just want to move a few spots down, get Carriker, Anderson, Branch, Okoye, ANY of those guys and use our second or third pick on a guard or DB.

I think we are wasting potential value by picking at 6.

Do you think we should take whatever we can for that pick even if it involves moving down a few spots and getting a fourth or fifth rounder?

I'm with you, if we could trade down and still get someone like Okoye and pick up a 2nd rounder I'd be extremely happy.
Let's hope Quinn slides, I could see the Dolphins being very interested in trading up to grab him ahead of the Vikings.

I just don't see Trent Green as a viable option for them. It's not like they're close where having Green as a stop-gap for one year is going to help them a whole lot.

If we know we can get the guy we want then yeah. It comes down to how much risk is that 4th or 5th rounder worth. If there is basically no risk moving down then take the extra picks. We should get more than that though. I might hold out on principle in that case I guess.

Yeah, I'm just worried who we would end up with. I guess we would at the VERY least have a good DE prospect still available to us.

i dont want one of the guys who will inevitably turn out to be one of this years busts. i do want one of the guys who will end up being a superstar. i dont care who it is or what position he plays.
