That's what the Dolphins were saying while handing Ricky Williams a huge check.

These guys in the NFL go to clubs and parties all the time. I'm sure Portis, Moss, Cooley, and Gibbs is toking one up at Redskins park right now. This will not affect these kids especially with all the drama in the NFL right now. People are doing alot worse things that are criminal and getting away with it. I have never tried it. I've been around it at many parties and smaller social gatherings but never felt the urge/need to indulge. I agree with most people that if they have tried it and are definitely NOT current users nor have they been for some time, then I have no problem. ArtMonkDrillz 04-19-2007, 01:54 PM Don't you have to fail multiple tests before you get suspended? PSUSkinsFan21 04-19-2007, 02:05 PM no we really shouldnt Wow, I'm convinced. Great retort. PSUSkinsFan21 04-19-2007, 02:13 PM Let's make it clear they admitted to having used it, they didn't admit to being active users. There's a big difference. If they are tested, which I'm sure they probably are at some point prior to the draft and they are clean, no harm, no foul. At least they were honest. I agree, the article did not say that they were active users.......but it also didn't say that they were not active users. It simply said that they have admitted that they have "used" marijuana. That's a pretty vague term if you ask me. My only point was that such a statement would, to me, signal a need for further research and/or additional questions regarding the extent of that use. I'm only saying that teams should care because of the potential impact on the team if it becomes a problem (as opposed to what everyone else on this thread is trying to turn the issue into: i.e. whether the moral police should condone the use of marijuana or not......that's not the issue). I also applaud their honesty. And no, I've never tried it and I have no reason to. GMScud 04-19-2007, 02:39 PM I personally think alcohol abuse is way worse than marijuana abuse, but the bottom line is testing positive for pot will get you suspended. That'll alienate their teammates, and piss off the fans and the FO of whatever team they play for. But I say good for them for being honest. As long as it's not a regular thing to where it would show up in a piss test, then more power to 'em. MTK 04-19-2007, 02:45 PM They must be clean... I heard on Cowherd's show today that the NFL does a piss test at the Combine. ArtMonkDrillz 04-19-2007, 02:51 PM They must be clean... I heard on Cowherd's show today that the NFL does a piss test at the Combine.Maybe they duct taped a mini-shampoo bottle full of clean piss to the inside of their leg like my college roommate used to do when he had to take drug tests. djnemo65 04-19-2007, 11:32 PM And no, I've never tried it and I have no reason to. You should really try it. There is nothing in life like a bag, some beer, some good friends, and Redskins on the big screen, with foosball at halftime. Shoutout to my boy Stinksta for making this a reality for me so many times. |
