If Trent Green ends up in Miami, we all know of his ties with Al Saunders. Week 1, should really be a treat!
Green trade imminent; Culpepper likely to be released: South Florida Sun-Sentinel (http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/sfl-spdolnotes15apr15,0,4204789.story?coll=sfla-sports-front)

I can't believe how far downhill Culpepper's career has gone after Randy Moss was traded. If Culpepper was released, I think Al Davis would go after him and just shut down any plans he had to trade Moss. That would have draft implications too, if they got Culpepper then they might not take Russell and instead take Johnson. They still need to work on that offensive line though lol.

I agree. Just a few years ago this guy threw nearly 40 TDs. I wonder if he'll ever be a quality starter in this league again. It's a shame.

don't forget that injury. it was devastating for him and its a shame
Culpeppers problem was always that he held onto the ball too long if a receiver wasnt open. This led to a huge sacking and fumbling problem for him. Too bad though he has the physical pedigree similar to jamarcus russell, but is probably done for. Wonder how russell will pan out

it doesn't matter what happens with the Dolphins QB situation they have Gibran Hamdan waiting in the wings he's do to breakout lol

It's crazy isn't it? The guy had one of the best seasons in the history of the NFL as far as QB's go back in 04. But what I don't understand is why would Miami cut him? Trent Green is 37 coming off a bad season in which he was also hurt. It makes no sense to me. I would keep both guys around. But I guess the keeping both Culpepper and Green would be a lot of $.

From what I understand they don't ever think his knees will fully recover again. Proubally right....and they shelled out major cash for Daunte, and I think it's pretty clear he will never be the same QB he once was.
Trent Green on the other hand has also had a solid career but at his age, and also the consussion problem's.......I guess they feel they have a better chance of winning with Green in the short term.
If I had to choose between the two I would certainly choose Green for a short term QB.

If the Raiders pick up Culpepper I still think that the Raiders should draft Russel. D C is not a long term answer for that team, and they still have no depth at QB. They need Russell no matter what they have by the draft.

Did the Dolphins shell out major $$ for Culpepper?? I know they traded a 2nd round pick to Vikings for him, and I think Culpepper actually reworked his contract to help Miami stay under the cap. Nonetheless, he certainly hasn't panned out for the Dolphins. I feel bad for Culpepper. It's a shame when an injury ruins a career as solid as his was.

i think his injury was more of a factor then losing randy moss. your legs are used alot more when you throw, more then most people realize
