The problem is, i really don't feel like getting anything but i didn't get anything last year on my birthday either. Maybe i should save my money? I think i want to buy something for the sake of buying something. I have chosen to wait that whole battle out until the prices drop on the hardware a little bit. BigSKINBauer 07-06-2007, 04:24 PM If you are into buying Blu-ray movies at $30 a pop, go right ahead. I have chosen to wait that whole battle out until the prices drop on the hardware a little bit. That is true too. When do you think the price of movies will fall? The blu-ray players are just really expensive and i'll probably take the PS3 to school with me if i get it, unlike a blu ray player. My roommate might be bringing his 42 inch HDTV with him :D. He said that last year too but his parents said no. I doubt the PS3 will drop again anytime before the holidays so if i am to get one i should really get it the day the price drops to $500. jbcjr14 07-06-2007, 05:07 PM I think it might be a long time until the prices of the movies fall. They are not flying off the shelves according to the stuff I have been reading. I don't have a PS3, I have an X360 but that is purely due to my gaming preference and I have nothing against Sony's product. skinsfanthru&thru 07-06-2007, 07:12 PM neither hd format has sold all that well except one or 2 titles here and there as I think the percentage of homes with an HD-tv is still less than 25% in the US, but I don't know the exact %. I have the HD-dvd attachment for my 360 and love it as most HD-dvds r still around $20 where I shop, but with the price drop for the PS3 coming sooner than expected, I've got some trade money saved up and might pick up one sooner than I had thought even though it needed to have atleast $150 cut off for it to start to catch up to the 360 and Wii.
