Thoughts on NFL games in international venues

I was looking the NFL schedules today, and I can't stop thinking about this Dolphins-Giants game in London week 8. IMO this is unnecessary. Hardly anyone in Europe cares about American football, and for those that do, they have NFL Europe. And it is a huge detriment to the teams involved. Both teams play games week 7, then have to not only prepare for the week 8 game but fly overseas and deal with a 6 hour jet lag?? And they are calling this a "home" game for Miami!!?? It's unfair to the loyal American fanbase to take games across the pond. What about the Dolphins fans who lose a home game to attend? What about the Dolphins team who loses a true home game with the crowd advantage, etc? Their "home" game week 8 is a 3000 mile plane ride! Imagine, just imagine the outrage on this website if the Skins were playing a "home" game overseas?

I understand this is an experiment by the league, and I hope it fails. I know the Niners-Cardinals game in Mexico was a success, but two west coast teams playing just south of the border is a far cry from Europe.

I'd love to hear thoughts on this...

Oops, I missed that one. It was from last October. Oh well. You can kill the thread if you want. Sorry.
