Yes. I would leave him on the field. If he commited a crime and was convicted then the legal system may keep him off the field. What if you were charged with a crime and before you were convicted your employer fired you? Fair?Fair or not that does happen to people in the real world all the time.

My point is that with all of the off the field incidents that have happened throughout the years, the NFL should have had a strict policy from the jump, before anyone is allowed to
violate the rule and the automatic 1 year suspension should be in place if they are found guilty of a felon. The reason I say found guilty and not if they are arrested, is because most of these guys are being tried in the media instead of a court room. How can anyone be suspended for a year on accusations of being involved in a crime? The focus should be on preventative or deterent policies that are preached and enforced from the mountain top to the valley low.

The fact this idiot has been questioned by police 10 to 15 times regarding incidents involving him. drugs, beating up people (on more than 1 occasion) shooting incident, 1 or 2 times could be concidered in the wrong place at the wrong time, but 10 to 15 times, there is a behavior problem there. you can not excuse 10 to 15 questionings as being tried by the media

I know the NFL isn't responsible per se for them, but how are Jones and Henry going to be better people overall if they don't have the structure of football. I realize neither was a saint to begin with, but I fear it getting much worse before it gets better (if it ever does). In a way it reminds me of Mike Tyson.

IF these two clowns care about the NFL and playing football this wont be an issue. They need to understand that the people they surround them selves with are a HUGE contributing factor. If they dont realize that then they will continue to get into trouble. Mike Tyson dug his own grave, another idiot that had the world in his hand, and got too big for himself. If Pacman and Henry are not smart enough to stay out of trouble, then they dont deserve to play. I can't believe people make excuses for this crap. They have to put themselves in position to get into trouble. its not like the clubs, drugs, guns, thugs, just appear out of thin air. They go there, they put themselves in these positions. Its like people keep saying he's a product of his environment, BS!!! they used their talents to get away from that crap. Trouble doesn't seek people out, people seek out ways to stretch luck with getting into trouble or not, these fools just dont know how to stop or when to stop.

I think the union has to be careful with this and let it ride. They would certainly be walking a very, very fine line with trying to defend Pac on this one. Furthermore, in doing so they would send the wrong message and might fall out of favor with the Commish.

Upshaw and Co. should stay away from this one.Dude. Who do you work for? I think any team should be able to terminate a player's contract based on the severity of his off-the-field play. Terminating a contract in addition to say, a 8-game suspension, gives the player a fair opportunity to continue his career if another club is interested in taking that risk. A year long suspension just puts a player's livelihood in limbo for too long.

WTF? What makes you think they would?I was scrolling through the SportsNation response to the suspension on ESPN.com yesterday (talk about a waste of time) and a lot of the people seemed to think there was a racial element to the suspensions. They seemed to think that if these were white players they would have gotten off much easier.
I'm not trying to start and argument over this, I'm just explaining what I read.
