When I was single, beer (tap, can, bottle, etc) used to be my dinner of choice on Fridays with maybe some form of restaurant appetizer.
Now that I'm married with a kid, I guess it's some place like Olive Garden on Fridays.

schneed, i think i was over your way last weekend. i was in a little pizza joint in manyunk(sp?) that had out of this world cheese steaks. and for me to say that is alot because i think Philly cheese steaks are almost as over rated as Michael Vick. i have already eaten at both Pat's and Geno's, and think they both suck

Spicy Tuna is good to go. There is a place we go to here in Frederick that has what they call Maryland roll. It has crabmeat with old bay in it. Definitely one of my faves. And while not traditional, there is always the dynamite roll.
Is that the place on patrick st.? I can't remember the name of it...
at any rate... it's friday, i'm catholic, and down in outerbanks... so we're making some blackened tuna. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

We usually go to Miyako (next to Outback) out on the Mile if that's what you're talking about. However, they just opened one where Italian Oven used to be at FSK, so we hit that one now. Great sushi.
There's a place in Gaithersburg at 28 and 124 called New Tokyo (http://www.newtokyorestaurant.com/) (2 doors down from Fuddruckers) that has incredible sushi. Traditional pieces along with some awesome intrepretations (I highly suggest the Hawaiian Volcano Roll).

I'm going to guess you were at Delessandro's. They are the best in Philly, IMO. Manayunk has a couple other good places.
And I concur, Pat's & Geno's are way overrated. Though if you get them to use american cheese or provolone instead of the awful cheese wiz, then they're better.
I can never understand cheese wiz when you can have gooey melted american cheese all over your sandwich.

Thanks, I'll definitely check that out. I live right at 28 and Muddy Branch (midsummer dr.). I just had some pretty good tuna w/ pineapple sushi that was beast down here in obx. All the food down here is so good.

Small world. Growing up, I lived across the street from the Muddy Branch Giant...from time to time, I still hit Fingers and Claws down that way.
Best Italian is Il Porto in the Festival Shopping Center...
