If Chargers can get a 1st & 3rd for Turner, don't we have to shop Betts?

You create a hole by trading Betts so where does that help us?

There's no way we get a 1st round DP for Betts. So you're probably right when you say "IF"....That's a mighty big word.

How about this for an if. IF someone offers us a first and third for Betts for consider it, otherwise we proceed with the scheduled plan for next season.

turner isn't worth that much, don't know if buff will give up that much & Betts is too valuable to us

I doubt the bills would be willing to give up so much for turner when they got so little for mcgahee

Anybody who signs him has to give SD compensation because he is a restrcited FA. SD signed him to the highest possible tender.

Just my opinion but can we please stop with all the trade Betts/Portis talk. Its getting old and its not gonna happen anyway.

The above link says backup RB Michael Turner is visiting Buffalo and Tenn. I later heard Clayton on ESPN radio state that it was a very real possibility that Turner would sign with Buffalo, and they would then give up a 1st and 3rd rounder. If that's the case, shouldn't the Skins FO be shopping Betts? He's not an every down back for the season (injuries) and he does seem to fumble at times. With his contract, I would think the Skins could get a 1st and a 3rd for him too.

I've been saying this for the last few weeks now. Every since I started the forum on the Jets trying to trade us J Vilma, I have been an advocate of dealing him to acquire more picks for out first day of the draft.

Even now that Mike Turner is looking like he is going to Buffalo, the RB market is scarce leading up to the draft. Teams are looking to tighten up on that position, and we are looking for more drafted talent, while possesing a limited supply of first day picks, or total draft day picks as a whole.

For the love of William Shattner's acting, shop him now while his value is high, and before the league figures out that he is injury prone and can't hold on to the ball!!! Get a 3rd round draft pick at lleast, and then have an oppourtiniity to draft young, inexpensive talent for our team at any position we'd deem fit, at that time in the draft.
