EXoffender 04-14-2007, 05:19 PM Skins will trade up to draft GT WR Calvin Johnson and lose next year's first round selection... holcknowsbest 04-14-2007, 05:40 PM we dont need calvin johnson we need a pass rushing de,like charles johnson. there goes rvd420 again....we need charles johnson hahaha wow, this guys name says it all!!!!! effing hippy man completely outragous. SkinsFanSince91 04-14-2007, 05:47 PM can someone explain to me the so called need of a tall receiver? whats the matter with really good small receivers? Tall receivers cause match up problems. As cornerbacks remain around 5'10" in height, the taller and more physical a receiver is in relationship to average corner's height, the harder it is to defend again short routes and deep/jump balls. So a 6'5" receiver with a 45 in vertical and 4.3 speed would be a nightmare to gameplan against, especially if the opposite receiver to him is Santana!!! With CJ on our team, opposing defensive coordinators with have to "pick their poison." rvd420 04-14-2007, 06:50 PM i saw word somewhere, but cant remember where that detroit is goin to take cj then trade him.one of the supposed trade partners is the skins.but i still think theres a chance well either trade for brigss or samuel.i hope not briggs.even though Calvin Johnson is the best player in the draft, doesnt mean he will be in the pros.oh good call skinsfan91,minus CJ. EXoffender 04-14-2007, 07:23 PM I just hope that we draft someone who's going to catapult this team to the SB. Calvin Johnson, and Alan Branch to a lesser degree, seems to fit that bill. Putting that into perspective, we seem to be more than one player away from scaring opponents. Maybe the only reason we took a stepback last year is because we had to work Jason Campbell into the starting lineup. And with the defense faltering as it did, we lost games that Campbell didn't lose himself. Campbell17 04-16-2007, 12:08 AM trading up to the #1 pick to get J.Russel wouldn't be a smart idea because campbell towards the end of the year was starting to be more and more confident running the offense, i'd hate to re-start at square one. I would be interested, however, in drafting Joe Thomas from Wisconsin, that is my big college team, and I think it would help to sign him. I just don't believe that Russel would be a proper fit to the Redskins offense. I would make a consideration to pick up a quarterback later on in the draft, such as John Stocco form `consin or another player along those lines because he will fill in for to old to play brunell KLHJ2 04-16-2007, 12:53 AM Dont need tall receivers whe you have a COOOOOOLLLLLLLEEEEEEYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
