Well.. he's out there... for league minimum? Why not? I know he failed a physical but... the Colts liked him for their scheme because of the quickness involved in their scheme (similiar to Gregg Williams).
Hell... at least to compete in camp with the other guys... we DO need SOME hope of a pass rush on the ends... I know I'm grasping at straws.. I just KNOW that's gonna be our weak spot

I would say he would be something to consider. Wont cost us much to try him. We could always hope that he could be another Daryl Garner. We may have to wait in line to sign him, due to others teams wanting him. But you never know.

I don't think competition will be very heavy at this stage of the game. I think that when you hear about something like this that you should always give it some degree of consideration. I do not know the details however, so if anyone knows anything more about this please share.

Sounds to me like his knee is shot.
If he failed a simple physical something tells me he might struggle getting in shape in time for Gibbs' treadmill tests.
This guy is garbage and a waste of time.

he had a good number of FF/sacks per tackle, but... 17 tackles in his entire career and only 5 games last season... not sure it'd be worth the time to even bother teaching him the playbook... but there wouldn't really be much to lose either...

I think he was really miscast in Green Bay, he is more of an edge rusher and would probably do best as a rush lb in a 3-4. I think he could be effective as a situational pass rusher for us, him on one side and LaVar on the other with Washington standing up behind one of them ready to blitz. Worth a shot, although I think the Bears are probably going to get him first if his knees hold up at all.

Do we really want to pay him to rehab his knee?

he reminds me to mch of daryl russel who was resently cut by the buccs who early in his career was a beast on the raiders untill he blew it... i would pass if we had depth but we don' t so i say take a 1 year shot.
