Lets say we do a trade and land Calvin - my question is we would now have 4 WR's on the team that will have $10+ million signing bonuses - isn't this going a little overboard?
So if you get Calvin who do you sit down - my belief is Brandon Llyod will be the one who loses playing time (just a guess - maybe it will actually be ARE)? If it is Llyod how would he react to this? I would think it would not be welcomed by him with open arms. So basically he would become a locker room nightmare and you would eventually have to cut/trade him in a year or so. So in essence we gave up a 3rd and 4th round pick plus a $10+ million signing bonus for 1-2 years of not too much production, plus if we traded up we will have sacrificed who knows how many more picks to get CJ. Why can't the FO give some of the previous pickups more than one year to pan out? If Llyod does not produce this year than I am all for going in a new direction but let the current WR's have a chance with JC.

I don't think it would be wise to take on another WR. Last year was the first season in Sanders offense, and hopefully the O learned something. If we take a big pick like him, then the coaches will be pressured to play him before he learns the offense. The focus should be on the D-line and LB's. We have solid LB's, but we have got to find a way to get some turn-overs and sacks throughout the season.

For the life of me I just don't understand why people are so against this. HE IS THE BEST PLAYER IN THE DRAFT. I get so tired of people saying we don't need wr's. DID ANYONE WATCH ANY GAMES LAST YEAR????????????? Outside of Santana which WR on our roster has done anything?

When you go 5-11 there is PLENTY of blame to go around. Not just on defense but on offense too. We hopefully solved the problem at QB, LB and DB's. Yes we need DE, DT but do any of you think that maybe alot of the players that are on the board are not that good?

I'll use this comparison one more time. Texans drafted for need and took Mario freaking Williams who didn't do shit. I bet if the Texans had a chance to do it all over again they would take Bush cause he was the best player on in the 06 draft.

We drafted for need a few years ago when Smoot left and took Carlos R. How in the hell did our scouting dept. grade Carlos higher than Merriman or D. Ware?

Calvin J. is simply put a freak. He's going to make any offense better the minute he walks on the field. He's going to do things that will NEVER EVER show up in the stat sheet. Can any of you imagine the PI's this guy will draw? Plus defenses are going to have to slide coverages to his side of the field which could open up all kinds of room for Santana and Cooley. Plus saftey's will never come near the LOS like they did last year when Brunell was QB. Opens up the running game so that helps Portis and Betts.

I hope we package Lloyd and move up and take this guy!!!!!!!

Your argument is pretty solid but which of the 5 teams would want Brandon Lloyd?

Raiders? They have their hands full with head case receivers.

Arizona? They're pretty much set at super cool WR's.

Detroit? Please tell me they are not even thinking about getting another stud WR.

Cleveland? I guess, but having Baylon and Kellen along with Jurvicious is making that a crowded position.

Tampa Bay? This may be the only team that has a legitimate reason to want him.

I'm certainly on board with your way of thinking, and it is that reasoning that makes one wonder if this team will ever get a grip on just what direction it want's to go. Sometimes it apears as if our intention is to court every player of value either in, or coming into the league. And yes!!! I would agree that any atempt to do anything with Lloyd that didn't meet with his aproval would only serve to further deflate his oversized ego.

Guys, I just heard Gibbs just hinted he and Pat might order Chinese food tonight. But they're also open to the possibility of going out for pizza. Any plans to go to Cold Stone Creamery after dinner are not imminent at this time.

I'll keep you posted

WHAT! Okay, I have had enough. Now we are worried about what he is eating....

I heard that they are considering trading up to take a salad in round 1, a sirloin in round 2, and perhaps a late round Irish coffee.

WHAT ?????

Will they ever learn to just build from within ? They always go out for more food when there are more than enough leftovers in the fridge. I mean why get a sirloin when there's a piece of chuck steak in there from last night ? Sure the chuck isn't sirloin but it's doable. All it needs is a little A-1 A LITTLE EFFIN A-1 ! THAT"S ALL. NO PATIENTCE. I mean it's not like they are going up for a rib eye ? That's the problem they ALWAYS DO THAT. AND A SALAD ? IN THE FIRST ? I MEAN JEEZ,...you can find a salad in the later rounds ! I heard there is a pretty mean salad from Olive Garden who should be there in the 5th.

The Pasta Fagioli should also be available in the 5th and it's better suited for our scheme.

I officially think the Skins FO is having a good ole time this off season making everyone poop their pants. We have in the span of several weeks.

-Turned down an offer to trade our 6 for like the broncos entire draft board and Al Wilson
-"Almost" consumated a similar deal with Bly instead.
-Have worked feverishly to trade down and get more picks
-Worked to trade up to get CJ
-Redecided to trade down and get Briggs and Chi's 1st
-Redecided to trade up and get CJ.

Without a doubt no one has any clue what the hell we are doing and at this point it has to be by design.
