Sorry, I forgot humor was not allowed when discussing trade rumors. Carry on with the FO criticism.

Mort: Chicago Not Interested in Briggs' TradeDefensewins 03-27-2007, 06:27 PM Sorry, I forgot humor was not allowed when discussing trade rumors. Carry on with the FO criticism. That is all... Humor? Oh! Ha HA Keep your day job. itvnetop 03-27-2007, 06:28 PM If the Bears shot it down, they did us a huge favor... our FO actually proposed this??? RedskinPete 03-27-2007, 06:31 PM The Bears must think they can get a better deal. I am not sure why they would reject this deal. They would be stupid to take a $7M cap hit this year for Briggs. There must be another team ready to offer more If there is another team with a better offer then good luck with that! Lady Brave 03-27-2007, 06:38 PM Humor? Oh! Ha HA Keep your day job. Seriously... not necessary. redskinsfanatic 03-27-2007, 06:57 PM i think that trading for briggs would be great.there is a good chance there will be some great defensive players left at the end of round 1. Lady Brave 03-27-2007, 07:03 PM Well....if we OFFERED the trade, thats not really BS. Ie; the people who were worked up were the right ones, not The Ego ;) Darn you and your logic. :) Rosenhaus started this mess and as far as I can tell the only quote we had was "Snyder confirmed the offer to FoxSports". Who at FoxSports? Every other outlet seemed to run with it after that. Given that Snyder doesn't typically talk to the media, perhaps there was just a little bit of spinning going on. redskins5044 03-27-2007, 07:09 PM the bears arent interested right now. but when then get back home from after the nfl onwer meetings they will realize that this is probably the best offer they will get MTK 03-27-2007, 07:15 PM Shocker. wushawn 03-27-2007, 08:14 PM ok, just so im clear, this trade is or is not goin to happen? and i agree, i cant believe the skins were even considering this. freddyg12 03-27-2007, 08:15 PM Maybe the Bears are posturing to show Briggs how much they value him, then offer him a little more once the season nears. That way both sides can save face. They are a smart but stingy front office, they will try to either get 2 1st rounders, offer him a little more (like 35 mil, 7 yrs.), or let him holdout. I appreciate what anybody on here has said, we don't need to keep chasing other team's property, but on paper this was a good deal for the Skins & that's why the Bears rejected it. I was just thinking who might spring for Briggs? I can't come up w/any ideas. Philly has been LB shopping, but he's expensive & will cost picks, something they don't like to give up. The G-men could be in the running. New Orleans? Maybe they think they're a player away? |
