I just don't buy this rumor.
But let's think about it this way, Rosenhaus and Snyder have a great business relationship, right?
This situation could simply be Rosenhaus calling up his buddy and saying "Hey Danny, help me out a bit, let me float some rumors out there about you being interested in my client to get contact talks moving with the Bears".

The only way i see this happening is if their is a team that is willing to trade their first round pick straight up for briggs but is not low enough for the bears liking. If we do this trade and we get the 31st overall, then trade briggs to this team and get a mid 1st round pick im all for it. Hopefully the FO can squeeze out a 3rd or 4th from chicago and this would be beautiful in my opinion. I would probaly crap my self if the skins picked twice in the first round.

In reply to my prior thread i think we would actually need that 3rd or 4th rounder to go along with briggs for the 2nd first rounder.

and it would definitely be a high first round pick not a mid round. My first post was retarded.

this is plain stupid...bad choice of picks...disgruntled player...and we have enough linebackers....there has to be one stupid move to make me hate the offseason each year I guess

According to Jay Glazer (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/6613558), Dan Snyder personally told FoxSports that he is interested in the trade.
Kind of interesting how in the article he talks about Gibbs needs to sign off on it. So does that mean, if it happens we can lay the blame squarely on Gibbs for it?
I still don't get the move though.

I was interested to learn who was responsible. The article does seem to imply that this is Danny's doing. I wonder what kind of authority Gibbs has when Danny wants to do something.

i swear dude, our offseasons are like never ending nightmares. everytime i think we are heading in the right direction with our moves, our fo has a flippin brain fart and thinks up this non-sence. if this happens, forget just next season, we are setting back our team like 5 years!!! how r we gonna completly not pay attention to our glaring needs, i mean tiki "today" barber ran like 200 yards and 3 td's the last game we played...RIGHT UP THE GUT!!! what the hell is another outside linebaker gonna do to fix that? i cant take this anymore. i mean this site is for the knowlegeable fan right? WE ALL AGREE THIS IS BAD!!! can we do anything to stop this? theres gotta be something, i cant sit by and watch my team make another bad decision. its almost like having another little sister dude

Ok, so let's step back and look at this trade. I don't have a problem with getting Briggs, and drop from #6 to #31 may not be a total disaster if someone is there at D-Line (I know they have shown interest in Quentin Moses, but #31 may be a little high for him)
But a.) we need more picks and b.) are we committed to Rocky or not?
But does anyone else find it weird that Snyder would even comment at all?
