Briggs not in Seattle's plans
<Mar. 22> The Seahawks are not trying to acquire Briggs, despite agent Drew Rosenhaus' claim that Seattle is among a handful of teams interested in trading for the disgruntled Bears linebacker, reports the Seattle Post-Intelligencer.
On Tuesday's "Best Damn Sports Show Period," Rosenhaus said the Seahawks, 49ers and Redskins have expressed interest in his client. Seahawks team president Tim Ruskell responded to the report by saying, "There's no truth to that whatsoever." Briggs, who was franchised by the Bears before he hit free agency, has voiced his displeasure about not being able to test the market.
