I liked David P. but we're awfully thick at that position to keep a guy who can't contribute on spec. teams. Maybe Espy can earn a spot.

I'll await all our cap experts to break down the significance on that end. I recall several saying that it would count 1-2 mil against the cap this year to release him.

So we've saved 7 million on the cap for 2008 already with the releases of him and Archuleta.

We just may have the cap room to make a free agent signing next year after all!

I don't like it, he wasn't a bad 4th option. I think they have could have had someone else play special teams. I don't know, I always liked him. Whatever...it was bound to happen and I was planning on it happening, I just wished it had worked out. Not necessarily a bad move, but he was a good insurance policy if guys started going down.
