Patten releasedTha Posse 03-22-2007, 07:21 PM Redskins Release Patten (http://www.redskins.com/news/newsDetail.jsp?id=25383) SmootSmack 03-22-2007, 07:22 PM I always liked him, kind bummed it didn't work out here. But it's for the best Meks 03-22-2007, 07:25 PM surprised we couldnt get ANYTHING for him... skinsWill 03-22-2007, 07:25 PM Too bad that it didnt work out. I thought it was a great signing when it happened. GTripp0012 03-22-2007, 07:26 PM I always liked him, kind bummed it didn't work out here. But it's for the bestWhat he said. Don't let no one say GTripp doesn't earn his bans! wolfeskins 03-22-2007, 07:31 PM Too bad that it didnt work out. I thought it was a great signing when it happened. yea, i thought it was a good signing too. i wish it would have worked out better. freddyg12 03-22-2007, 07:37 PM I liked David P. but we're awfully thick at that position to keep a guy who can't contribute on spec. teams. Maybe Espy can earn a spot. I'll await all our cap experts to break down the significance on that end. I recall several saying that it would count 1-2 mil against the cap this year to release him. dall-assblows 03-22-2007, 07:38 PM he sucked anyways GTripp0012 03-22-2007, 07:43 PM So we've saved 7 million on the cap for 2008 already with the releases of him and Archuleta. We just may have the cap room to make a free agent signing next year after all! jdlea 03-22-2007, 07:49 PM I don't like it, he wasn't a bad 4th option. I think they have could have had someone else play special teams. I don't know, I always liked him. Whatever...it was bound to happen and I was planning on it happening, I just wished it had worked out. Not necessarily a bad move, but he was a good insurance policy if guys started going down. |
