From Mort's chat today:
Trent, DC: Mort, who is advising Sean Taylor? I have never seen a rookie wait this long to get an agent. Does this kid want to get paid or give Gibbs a headache?
Chris Mortensen: I was told by somebody I trust that anybody selecting Taylor needed to do a lot of digging on the guy. That suggests he has some flaws, but let's give him the benefit of doubt until we see the end result.
From PFW Chat on Tuesday:
Dennis (Omaha): Redskins chose Taylor over Winslow. Seems like Taylor has given the 'Skins more trouble than they had expected in 3 months (leaving rookie symposium early, missing numerous voluntary practices, his reaction to rookie hazing, firing his agent and not hiring a new one regardless of the short time to negotiate before camp). Did they make a mistake, is he going to hold out, and any other thoughts?
Dan Arkush: You're not the only one asking these questions, Dennis. He said he had to leave the symposium to avoid being evicted from his apartment. What's up with that? The kid needs a solid agent who can nail down a good deal quickly for him. Gibbs won't take any guff.
The more I read and hear, the more concerned I get. As much as I want to give him the benefit of the doubt and have rose colored glasses on, where there's smoke there's fire.. Let's hope that putting the pads on refocuses him.
