It would be nice not to be laughed at on draft day, or only have one 1st day pick.

minnesota has GOOD DTs, there's an outside chance they look at DE, but unless someone else trades into that spot, i doubt there's even a chance that a DT goes at #7.

Whatever, I can imagine high level draft meetings where they are arguing back and forth, when suddenly Gibbs yells out, everyone quite, we got a nother email from Jrocx. He wants us to take Okoye!

Tell the truth, when the Skins are yammering away on that phone during draft day its you they are talking to right?

i wish they would.

#1 DT UOFL Okoye
#5 OG TTU Ramirez
#6 DE LSU Pittman
#7 S ND Ndukwe

# DT Okoye
# DE Best available. I count five top prospects and several good ones. One could fall to us if we trade down and pick up a 2nd round pick or come up with a trade package involving Springs. I'd love to trade down and pick up DE Carriker later in the first. That would give us two beasts we could count on for years. I'd trade Springs and a #3 for a good shot at Carriker.

Consider a front four of Carriker, Okoye, Carter, and Griffin.

Griffin: Exceptional against the run and as a rusher.
Carter: Excellent speed rusher
Okoye: Future great. Occupies blockers, makes tackles at the line, puts pressure on the QB by crushing the pocket. May learn to finish well (19 years old, super intelliegent).
Carriker: A stone wall against the run and an adequate rusher.

I'd put Okoye and Carter on the right and Carrker on the left with Griffin to balance the front.

I'd also like a date with Angelina Joli.

I honestly don't feel the rush to draft an offensive guard just because we lost Dockery. In fact, a journeyman free agent might serve us better in the short term as somebody who could step right in without having the growing pains of a rookie.

I'll try to find it on YOUTUBE, but it just shows that Johnson isn't invincible. Like any other WR, he's prone to dropping the ball if he gets whalloped.

BTW, Ndukwe is the brother of the Ndukwe who used to play guard for us.

If we trade down and get extra picks from Houston or Buffalo...I still think we should take Laron Landry from LSU. Thats if we get extra picks. Then our defensive backfield would be complete. No more long plays, cuz we have a 4-yr starter and 2 time all american playing center field with Sean Taylor playing underneath like a bigger, stronger, and faster Polamalu.

With the extra picks we can plug holes on that line. Branch, Adams, Okoye, and Anderson, all of the guys that we are looking at, are all boom-or-bust picks. Landry is the safest, most reliable pick that we can take. he can come in immediately and make us better without equivocation.

Now if we trade with denver then we have to take a D Lineman around the 25th pick, but if not LAndry is our man

Ain't no way, no how.

If we don't shore up that awful defensive line, opponents will run up and down Pennsylvania Avenue on us. And Landry, or whoever else they stick in the secondary won't matter one iota.

We spent a lot of high picks in our secondary the last three seasons.

Also, 4 year starters like Okoye and Adams are guys who there is just as much film on as Landry. You're designation of the DL guys as "boom or bust" seems somewhat unfounded and arbitrary.

I agree that when a guy comes out of college early, theres always a bigger risk drafting him high than if the same player waited until after his senior year to come out, and Landry WAS a 4 year starter, but you can't just declare a guy boom or bust and assume it to be accurate.
