I wanted you all to read this Football Outsiders FOX Blog - FOX Sports Blogs (http://community.foxsports.com/blogs/footballoutsiders/2007/03/09/The_New_Age_of_Millionaire_Lineman) and tell me what you think about these guards getting this kind of money! Worth it or not? Looking at the poll on Dock many said no!!!

I thought I was looking at a Baseball Payroll, we've turned into Baseball with a Bigger ball? The MONEY IS WAY TO CRAZY!
We know who pays for this, the guys that go to the games, spending a small fortune on tics, eats & drinks for family. Hats, Jerseys, the list goes on forever.

sorry doc, but your not worth anywhere near that kind of money. kudos to the often maligned f/o for not paying that kind of crazy money.

The entry mentions an interesting point. On runs that weren't to either one of Dockery's shoulders, we did considerably worse. Maybe it's just a coincidental stat, but we'll see next year.

Hey the guy wanted to get paid, he got paid. Should the Skins have paid that much for him....not a chance. He was just as shocked as we were when he saw the numbers, but he got what he wanted, and theres nothing wrong with it. Really the difference but he got and what we offered was at least 5 million (garaunteed) if not more. I dont blame him at all for signing the contract he did and wish him nothing but luck.

I don't think that those things are really that effected by the payrolls as the advertising cost and the TV contracts pay for the majority of the payroll. The things you list are more of icing on the cake than the bottom line.
Dock's deal is ri-goddamn-diculous
