i don't konw about that kid just, cuz where our front four is a problem for any team when healthy. So call me crazy but i love that safety from LSU, its not hard to find a good d-end, but safety don't come a dime a doszen these days. We can always find a vet d-end. Anyways our safety S.Taylor needs a tendem so he can do his thing and not always have to feel like his back there alone and tryin bite on pump fake just to make plays. I really think he feel like if he don't make a play back there no one else is. What ya think

This is like the # 6th thread about young buck, gaines. He is VERY talented. I'm just not so sure we won't end up giving that #6 up for some more draft picks.

They are aweful quite at REDSKIN park???? huuuummmm....

If the Redskins can find a good trade I think this is the way to go. Too many holes to fill with just one high pick. Whoever is #6 will want a contract at least equal to what Vernon Davis got for being #6 from the 49ers - which is I believe is $23 million with a large portion being a signing bonus.

Why not gain additional picks and help out with the cap at the same time? Yes the #6 pick may be an impact player, but last I saw the depth on the Redskins is not too great and gaining additonal picks would at least give the team the chance to addressing this.

I know it takes 2 to tango and I am not saying the Redskins should trade just for the sake of trading - I don't like us having to give away to make a deal happen. I'm just saying if something that makes sense (preferably using the point system that most GM's use when making trades) I would be happy if they did this.

Adams won't play at 261 as a pro. He has the frame for more weight. Chances are he won't lose a step at 275.

Andre Carter is 6'4 265.Which is what the problem is.

Andre Carter is 6'4 265.

Carter is a liability in run defense as well. The only way that having two pass rushing DEs will work is if you have two behemoth run stuffing DTs. We don't. If we want to stop the run, we need run stuffers.

We pay Daniels and Wynn a lot of money for not very much production, and they are only getting older. It is rare that a pass rusher with this much production is ever available. He is light, but with Freeney and Peppers this definatly seems to be a trend.

Was Carter the liability or was it Warrick Holdman?

Carter started out very slowly. He really came into his own towards the end of the season though. He was not a liability against the run. He finished with 60 tackles and 6 sacks.

22 tackles and 3 sacks in the last 3 games.

I'm expecting him to be pro bowl level in 2007.

We have Griffin at DT and the new kid who looks good.

I think Carter really stepped it up at the end of last season. He seemed to have gotten very comfortable and had several solid performances.

Malcom is right about Warrick friggin' Holdman with regard to run assistance, but Carter was still more of a liability than an asset in the run stopping department. Carter did step up his game as far as rushing the passer late in the season, but he got the nickname "Highway 99" for a reason. And I think Renaldo Wynn is gonna get cut...
