He's OK.....long as he can put down the CRACK pipe long enough to catch the ball? They can have him!

Everyone in the NFL, the Danny & Joe especially, will be watching the pats to see how this free agency binge pans out for them. Of course the Warpath is already on the case!

It's a serious break from their conservative moves of the past. I don't think Stallworth is way overpaid though, by recent standards his signing seems about right. They may be getting him at his prime if he can stay healthy.

I have a feeling that the Pats will struggle this year, just a hunch. Their roster has experienced the most turnover in the last 2 years that Bellicheck has seen. To get them 10+ wins will be a lot harder for the coaching staff than meets the eye, they've never dealt w/this much new blood & $.

i'd take that bet and go with the over. looks like 10-12 wins easily.

with no WRs to speak of brady was still putting up decent numbers. they just got two starters which are both HUGE upgrades, and a great blocking TE in brady (to go with receiving TE ben watson).

on defense they just got another super smart/versatile LB in AD, they still have two draft picks in the first round, and no one's really left the team.

Stallworth is a good receiver, but this move isn't going to put the Patriots over the top. Let's not forget that Stallworth was a non-factor in New Orleans, and he averaged less than four catches per game for the Eagles. He's not that great.

An upgrade for the Pats, because their WR corps was a WR corpse.

On paper, it seems like that, but so did we last year & in 2000.
No one left aside from Graham this year, but last year a few did. They'll likely make some cuts of note post 6/1 or during camp, they're gonna have to make some room for their fa's & draft picks. I think this could be more of a transitional year for them. Can Bellicheck keep them on track? It'll be harder than it appears now, that's just a hunch as I said, I know they've won in the past when it sure seemed the odds were against them.

The division is still fairly weak, good we get them this year.

The Eagles had NO running game or at least failed to use it to keep defenses honest. New Orleans had no QB when Stallworth was there. BOTH Stallworth and the Pats will do much better this year with each other. Great signing.

The Pats have done a great job with player aquisition this offseason. The LB they signed from Ravens - Adalius Thomos is poised to have an impact season playing next to Richard Seymour, Mike Vrabel, Rosevelt Colvin, Teddy Bruschi..etc. They are going have the deepest front seven in the NFL with LSU DE Marquise Hill 6' 7" 300 pound will be 5th string DE behind Semour, Ty Warren, Jarvis Green and Mike Wright.
They planned well because they can now spend their entire draft on their one remaining weakness CB. With two first round draft picks and the draft being deep in DB they have done their homework.

Pretty good WR, but not worth the money the Pats paid him!
