What in the world is takin so long to get this one done? I would have thought this would have been a quickie.

Fisher immediately becomes our fastest DB. He is blazing fast. Of course injuries are a concern, but he's 28 so he still has some mileage left, and he won't be a regular starter, so he'll be less likely to get hurt. No details on the deal yet, but I betcha he came pretty cheap, and I like the move for depth. Props to FO for continuing to show some discipline and restraint. Now we just need to bring in Ian Scott and Ed Mulitalo. I am pleased thus far with our offseason....

I remeber redskins.com talking about Springs as a safety nex year, and Springs saying he would if that s where he was needed. Maybe thats what they are still thinking

If this is true we are totally overloaded at CB. This seems alittle excesive
Springs, Rogers, Smoot, Fisher, Jimoh??? So pretty much we're going to have two starting caliber CB's sitting on the bench.

No way... we are not. If Springs gets hurt, then Rogers... then what?????

Fred Smoot can start in this league and Fisher has as far as I remember. And there is very little "if" when it concerns Springs's health, the guy's weak. I wish they could have gotten the Bly deal done. He's better anyway...

Anyone know if he was hurt at the end of the year?
This is looking like something medical, his deal may be contingent upon passing a physical or an opinion from Bubba T. They may be debating his health or getting more tests done.

Just watched Redskins nightly news. No news about any other signings other than Boschetti. Might be just a rumor.

I think the team thought what hurt us more in the secondary was the lack of depth behind Springs and Rodgers . They had a lot more ridding on Rumph and Wright than they imagined and did not fully replace Harris . I don't think anyone truley appreciated how much Harris helped in spot duty stepping in for injured Rogers and Spings in 2005 .

Now in typical Redskins way we see a weakness then OVER compenstate if this is true i doubt it has any impact on the springs situation.
