He is a good nickelback, but so is Smoot.
We have a good CB situation UNLESS we cut Springs w/o getting Bly. Then we just have Carlos Rogers and two nickelbacks.

If this is true we are totally overloaded at CB. This seems alittle excesive
Springs, Rogers, Smoot, Fisher, Jimoh??? So pretty much we're going to have two starting caliber CB's sitting on the bench.
Yeah, my thought exactly. How many corners do we need? Usually you go into a season with five at most, right?
Seems like they're doing all the wheelin' and dealin' in the secondary when they should be making moves along the D-line.

I think it easier to draft an impact guy for the line than to give a boat laod of money to a retread. Quality dlinemen don't usually pop up in FA. Decent corners seem abundant this year.
That said we don't need another corner. Unless we trade Springs I'd be much more inclined to take the Houston deal now.

It's a one year deal, so he's gonna be a backup.

Yeah, that's true. Because we could use BOTH a d-tackle and end. And probably one more.

The Fisher signing is nothing special. Hopefully he can stay healthy?
Also, the status of Springs is clearly uncertain.
If he stays and is healthy he could move inside. BYE BLY!

Fisher's first couple years in St. Louis were decent. He has been beset with injuries the last couple years, but he, Springs (if he stays) along with Smoot and Rogers would give us a formidable quartet at CB. Jimoh is counted on mainly for his ST ability so I didn't include him. Personally, I wouldn't trade for Bly, he'll be a FA at the end of the coming season, I think I would take my chances then if they're still interested.
