If he was, it looks like a really bad decision, but I can't really explain why he didn't hit the holes hard on short yardage the way he did in Atlanta. Only explaination I can think of is that he was protecting himself from injury until he could get out of DC and get a new contract. Duckett wouldn't want to sign here given that he'd be 3rd on the depth chart and would get as few carries as he got this year. And for the money he'll want we don't need him, the thing about Duckett is that he is big, round 250lbs but runs like a 200lbs back, doesn't use his size as effectively as he could. If Betts is traded somewhere, he could be resigned as a backup but that looks unlikely.
