I think its wise that the Redskins not use all their Cap Room now. The reason, June 1st cuts. I guarentee there will be some qualities players available then and we should conserve some of our cap room to be able to sign a player that we like. Discuss!

There are almost never any decent players avaiable. Most of the guys released then are strictly because they aren'to good anymore and are getting paid a lot. In other words they are guys who can't play but aren't the type to see themselves as backups. I wouldn't bank on there being anything other a bunch of guys who could be decent depth but will be hard to sign for depth type money.

So few teams are in any cap trouble right now. Most have tons of cap room. The only thing that motivates teams to cut guys after June 1 is the salary cap. But since the cap has gone up, there are fewer and fewer players getting cut around June 1.
We won't find squat at that point. We're looking at the draft for our LG. Either that, or letting one of our current guys play there.

I disagree somewhat, if we can't trade him & all bridges have been burned, Springs might be cut 6/1. HOpe that's not the case, but I could see it happening.
There are usually some good starters out there after 6/1, not great players of course, but guys that could contribute immediately, especially a decent guard or two.
I do agree about the depth part, that's mainly what's out there, but there are some starters as well.

Tired of being ordered to discuss topics that may or may not be of interest.

didn't think about that, this year it seems everybody is in good shape w/the cap, except us of course. That would mean fewer decent guys cut on 6/1 for sure.

most of June 1st cuts are already cut. Lavar, J.Porter, Petigout, Joe Horn, etc.
I'm sure there wont be a huge market on the June 1st cuts if any.
