God we need a GM sooooooooooo bad it's not even funny. Actually it is funny at this point.

Can someone tell me why we want Dre Bly? Bad attitude and he wants a new contract. He's already getting paid 4.3 million and wants a new deal? Why? Plus the guy is already crying like a little bitch because Marineli traded his ass to Denver. And if he comes here guess what? We are going to give another old guy a new deal. I'd rather pay Springs the 6.8 million and go with someone who is at least respected in the locker room and doesn't have a crappy non winning attitude.

Wasn't it just a couple of years ago that Clinton Portis had a "bad attitude" and wanted a new contract? Anyhow, Bly is upset because the Lions allowed him to negotiate with the teams he wanted to be traded to, which is why he talked with east coast teams since he wanted to come east. The Broncos were nowhere near the top of his list and yet that's where they sent him.

Besides I think the bigger deal is the draft picks we could attain.

Exactly, going from 1 first day pick to 2-3 or maybe even 4 is huge!

Yea, but paying a player twice what he's worth will usually straighten out most attitudes.

You can't compare CP to Bly. CP was much younger and rushed for over 3,000 yards his first two years.

The Lions couldn't get a deal done with the east coast teams. It's not the Lions job to make Bly happy. They just want to get rid of him. Denver gave the Lions the best deal. Too bad. Plus he wants another contract. He just seems like a pain in the ass before he has even put on the uniform.

But if we get some additional picks that would be nice. Real nice.
