oh, meant to say also that i'd love to see Lavar back, maybe by mid to late season he would have his legs back & could fill in w/some big minutes for us.
It would be sweet to see him make some big plays in the playoffs like he did in Tampa in 06.

It was in an interview which was subsequently televised on ESPN. And there was no mucking about or he meant this or that. I saw the interview, the question was direct and so was the answer:

Q: "Who is the worst coach you ever played for?"
A: "Joe Gibbs"

There was no follow up, or additional "if, ands, or buts". You could even see that reporter was somewhat shocked by the answer.

LaVar aint coming back.

Oh, I missed it, well if thats the case, i dont think he should come back, but i still like Lavar

George Michael had him on his show after last preseason/start of regular season. Riggins asked him what the difference in schemes was in NY as opposed to the one here in DC, and he said... and I quote...

"At least in NY they have a scheme" and smirked.

Fag.

GW is you're daddy Lavar. Go eat a dick.

Not trying to side with Lavar here, but we did have the 31st ranked defense, I dont see how you can praise GW

You make some good points, however you are underestimating the chemisty factor. LaVar would be terrible for chemistry. Plus where is he gonna play?? With the signing of Fletcher we now have good depth at linebacker. Is Lavar gonna play special teams?? Is Lavar gonna keep his mouth shut?? All reasons why they will not bring him back, not even for the vetern minimum!

Yeah I agree, he's an emotional roller coaster and would have some major fence-mending to do if he were ever going to be a part of this team again. Plus he's a real prideful guy, and may not be able to swallow his pride and accept a role player's job for old Gibbs. All reasons why I've been saying all along it probably wouldn't happen.

But vet minimum? You have to admit, when you weigh the costs and benefits, there's really nothing to lose. If he acts up and is a pain in the ass in the locker room, just cut his ass and move on. Or if he's not learning the schemes, just cut him and move on. There's no cap ramification for cutting someone making the vet minimum.

What if the guy comes back for the vet minimum and balls out of control? With everything that has gone on with him and team, his even considering coming back to me speaks volumes. That should count for something. Hey it really wouldn't be that bad for the vet minimum. Remember he paid(4 million was it?) to get out of his contract.

LOL HE'S NOT COMNG HOME. WOULD YOU BOO HIM THE FIRST GAME AT FED EX IF HE DID FOR THOSE REMARKS?

I remember all the crap he said back when he left. I really hated him for it, I honestly don't want him back on our team. His body has broken down and he is the biggest whiner. Remember last year when we finally got back to the playoffs and one of the first stories reported that week was how Lavar was upset about something? I can't remember what it was because I was exited we were in the playoffs. I mean seriously keep this guy off our team and out fo the locker room. We are better off.

Yeah... I wouldn't praise GW....

"(GW)As the Defensive Coordinator, the Titans led the league in total defense and only gave up 191 points, the third fewest in the NFL since the league adopted the 16-game schedule in 1978. The defense also helped lead the Titans to Super Bowl XXXIV (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Bowl_XXXIV)"

In Washington, with Williams' aggressive defensive scheme, the Reskins' defense ranked 3rd in the NFL in 2004 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2004_NFL_season) and 9th in 2005 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2005_NFL_season).

He's had one bad year... lets take it easy buddy.

I'd still rather have him than Jeff Posey. I don't think it's unreasonable to have two good backup LB's. With Fletcher, Washington and Macintosh as the starting guys, Marshall, and Arrington would be nice to have as backup/rotation. I'd like to throw Arrington in from time to time just to scare opposing QB's. As a player, it is scary when a guy on the other team is playing balls out in an unpredictable way. Flusturing to say the least.

I'm sure he got a dose of reality with the Giants. I'd welcome him back if he seemed humbled a little.

what exactly has mcintosh shown us, with his 4 snaps of professional football experience, that should make anyone believe he can hold down a starting job when he couldn't even beat out warrick "doormat" holdman?

maybe after he shows up in some preseason games against #1s or something, but until then, i still need to see proof first.
