This is a retarded thread:

1) Nobody EVER mentioned Griffin getting cut. First, it would COST us money to cut him. It definitely wouldn't save us squat, unless you cut him after June 1, but even then you don't save that much.

2) Why the eff would we cut Griffin anyway? Are we going to play Golston and Montgomery at DT? Are you COUNTING on us drafting Alan Branch? Even if we draft Branch, a Golston/Branch tandem doesn't sound too good to me. Griffin is one of our most indispensable players, cutting him is the most ridiculous thing I've seen on this board in a long time.

3) I'm not sure we want to restructure him. If we really need the cap space, that's one thing. But we seem to be taking the measured approach in free agency. We're not going to dole out a big payday to a mediocre offensive lineman. So we've got all the cap space we need, why go kicking more of Griffin's cap hit down the road when we can absorb it this season?
