Meet Montrae Holland

Apparently the Redskins are also looking at former Saints Guard Montrae Holland as Dockerys replacement.

Heres what the Post says:

Priority 4: Offensive Lineman, Tight Ends and Defensive Lineman: The Redskins have interest in free agent guard Montrae Holland (New Orleans), sources said, and he mirrors Dockery's body type and run-blocking skills. Washington also needs a tight end to complement Chris Cooley, and sources said Cincinnati's Reggie Kelly has piqued the Redskins' interest. They have negotiated with TE Todd Yoder, who spent the most of 2006 with Washington, as well. The Redskins are dedicated to strengthening an aging defensive line in the draft, particularly with a pass-rushing end, and are not expected to go after Patrick Kerney (Atlanta), the best free agent at his position. However, should the Giants opt to shop Michael Strahan, the Redskins would be in a position to make a play for him, sources said. Of course, the chances of him being traded -- especially to a division rival -- are remote.

Personally I would love to get Lenord Davis at LG but at what cost? Ironically Dockery was considered a poor mans Leonard Davis coming out of college.

Comment:
Holland has good size, initial quickness and foot speed. He has good upper body strength he has above average agility, balance and body control. He plays with good effort and a mean streak. He more consistent as a pass protector than is a run blocker. He does a good job on double teams and combination blocks when he has help but struggles when he has to block one-on-one vs a 3-tech. He does not come off the ball, stops his feet at contact and he can not hit the movement against one gap penetrators. He did a good job on his pull/trap and if he locks on he will pancake you. He has good leg drive but his not consistent keeping his feet moving and he struggles to get movement at the point of attack. He will try to position block you before he has established position. He will lose leverage and get cross faced at the POA. He is not a consistent second level blocker. He does not always take the proper angles off the ball and lacks ideal speed to keep up with fast linebackers in this league. He is good in a confined area but he struggles in space. As a pass protector, he has improved. He has good quick set, he is a knee bender most of the time and he has a good punch. He has good foot speed and lateral movement to counter double moves. He did an excellent job of picking up and passing off line stunts. He was effective when sliding and mirroring but he was not consistent when he had to block a 3-tech. one on one. Overall, Holland is raw young player who is getting better and improving with experience. He is not as consistent as you would like at this time but he has ability and needs technique work. He is an adequate starter and a very good back-up.

Comment:
Dockery is a big, massive offensive guard who has good size and strength for the position. He has good overall athletic skills and enough versatility to play both OG/OT. In the running game, he is a road grader who best fits a zone-blocking run scheme. He has the ability to come off and get movement in the running game. He can bend and maintain his pad level with good balance and control on both reach and cutoff blocks. He knows how to use his size to position and wall-off between ball carrier and defender when getting position in a short area. He can come off and get movement off combination patterns but struggles at times with his balance and control when maintaining his position on the second level. He can short pull and connect but struggles to play under control off long pulls and in open space. He needs to improve his overall consistency and ability to finish late in games in the running game. In the passing game, he can bend his knees, slide and plays with a wide base off a short set. He matches up better vs. power rushers rather than quick inside edge rushers. He has good long arms and can extend out with a strong stab and punch. He does have some stiffness in his hips, which restricts his ability to adjust vs. quick double move inside rushers. He can drop his hips and anchor vs. power but will get top heavy and overextend vs. speed and quickness. Overall, Derrick is still and young ascending player with a good upside to develop into a frontline starting NFL player. He has shown steady improvement with his technique and footwork over the last few years.

The upside to Davis is that he can easily become an elite guard with Coach Bugel and we'll have a pretty decent replacement at tackle if Samuals or Jansen go down at any point in the season.
