"Speedster might be hounded always by injuries and inconsistency, but it's hard to overlook his big-play potential or the fact he has scored once every 8.3 receptions over the course of his career.
Possible landing spot: Tennessee, San Francisco, Washington."

Donte would be nice to have, next to Moss. Anyone else heard this from anywhere else?

That's the first I've seen that mentioned. Interesting.

What does that mean for Lloyd?

I think Patten will be a cap casualty... ARE is safe due to his all around abilities, so that leaves Lloyd.

But would we really want Stallworth for a big mutli-year contract? I'm sure that's the only thing he'll sign this time out.

I would think the Skins have more pressing needs than a WR. But who knows. I pray that Dan doesn't throw Stallworth tons of money and a big contract.

In all candor, i would rather they sign Eric Moulds to a modest deal. He's a big body, something we don't have, he can box defenders out. he never gets hurt, is a good team guy, and likely would be reasonable in his contract demands.
He's a little long in the tooth, 33, but that isn't TOO old. (hell, TO is 33.)

And on that note, if they're going to look at a big receiver, Ernest Wilford in Jacksonville is able to be had for a modest price.

I believe that we should sign Stallworth and lose B Lloyd even though I am a big Lloyd fan but he does not work for us in this system. This is system requires fast and agile receivers who can take screen passes the distance. No more money than Santana Moss. I want him on our team but I'm not crazy either.

Yea i like Moulds IF we are going to go after a WR. We do need a big body kind of guy for JC to lob too in the red zone. I predict that the skins are more likely to address this need with one of their day 2 draft picks. I read this on NFL.com about what gibbs thinks about lloyd. I don't think he is goin anywhere

NFL.com - Washington Redskins Team News (http://www.nfl.com/teams/story/WAS/10031124)

"Other players could be released if more cap space is needed, but two players not on the chopping block are Lloyd and Archuleta. Gibbs is ready to give both another chance.
'With Arch, it hasn't gone well -- up to this point,' Gibbs said. 'And we think Brandon is going to be an impact player for us. He has to be. We've got to make sure that that works.' "

Stallworth opted out of his deal with Philly so no one needs to inherit his contract. Whatever anyone throws his way will be the contract they live with.

Stallworth's only negative is that he tends to get more minor injuries than any other two players. Hamstrings, ankle sprains and things like that follow him around. He had those problems in college and they seem never to go away. But when he is healthy, he is a whole lot better than Brandon Lloyd or David Patten.

Two years ago, Eric Moulds would have been worth picking up. After the truly bleak year he had in Houston and with all his belly-aching there, I think I'd be looking just about anywhere else for a WR in 2007.

Yeah Stallworth is on the brittle side... and he'll be looking to cash in.

I also think he is a HUGE douchebag. I NEVER liked his attitude whenever I watch him play.
