I was about to crack an Adam Archuletta joke, but I won't:)
The think Adman needs to service some of the female fans to help pay back that ridiculous sum we are paying him... :cool-smil

Laying 5mil on the table is a pretty serious decison. Don't let the difference between 20 and 15 being 5 fool you. The part that is important is the MILLION. 5 is not a lot. 5,000,000 is a huge amount.
I absolutely agree that 5,000,000 is a huge amount. But that's my point, 15,000,000 is a HUGE amount. Give me 15,000,000 NOW and I will never have to work another day in my life. I invest the lot, and, even at a exceptionally conservative 3% interest, that's 450,000 a year for the rest of my life.
Say I spend 1,500,000 to get my self set in a nice house, couple nice cars, etc. I still have, at min ~400,000 a year to spend - with no mortgage or car payments. If that is an insufficient amount to live well on, then you, my friend, have a problem with budgeting. (Hell, you could even let loose on occassion and make it rain for a few hookers).
Yes this is simplistic and doesn't account for taxes, but my point is that, at the numbers being thrown around, a million here and there is just greed for greed sake.
Okay, I await the - "well it's the sports culture that costs money" - response (or its equivalent)
