Cutting Fauria saved us $1.0 million (on the nose) in cap space.
Cutting David Patten would actually cost us cap space ($2.2 million to be exact). If we cut him as a post-June 1 cut, we'd save $1.3 million this year, and then take a $3.5 million deadcap hit next season.
Chances are Patten will be back, but I've seen stranger things happen.
With all of these cuts how much under the cap are the Redskins?
Yoder deal close to they are
Nice one!!!

Schneed, with all the talk of Springs getting cut, what does that save us exactly on the cap? Also, it looks like Wynn will get cut as well. So, after Wynn, Springs, and Hall...how much cap room will we gain?

Someone please correct me so that I know if I am looking at the cap numbers right. This is what I get by cutting the following players and what the Redskins are currently over the cap. By cutting the following players and how much we save...
T. Vincent - $1.291mill
Fauria - $1.000mill
Hall - $1.500mill
Wynn - $2.500mill
Springs - ($92,000)
Total = $6.199mill
But we are currently over the cap by $2.388mill, so after all of this we will be under the cap by about $3.811mill.
Note: I did not account for the recent Brunell restructure. I am not sure how that will affect the cap.
Please someone let me know if I am close with these figures, I used the cap sheet for my numbers... Thanks...

Also, in looking at the cap numbers I noticed that Cooley is a free agent at the end of this up coming season. I hope the hell that the FO is working on his extension...

To cut Patten it is going to be about a $2.2mill hit against the cap. I think that we will wait it out with Patten... But who knows?!?!

according to espn we were 5.6 under the cap after the brunell release and that the brunell contract got us a extra 3.3 mill so we are 8.9 under right now
I'm not so sure of the accuracy of ESPN's cap #, I've seen other sources also say that we have $6M of cap space right now.
