Cutting Fauria saved us $1.0 million (on the nose) in cap space.
Cutting David Patten would actually cost us cap space ($2.2 million to be exact). If we cut him as a post-June 1 cut, we'd save $1.3 million this year, and then take a $3.5 million deadcap hit next season.
Chances are Patten will be back, but I've seen stranger things happen.

Good move, but not a surprising one.
Now to bring in a blocking TE who can actually block.

We could end up w/# 4 & 5 WRs - Loyd & Patten - that don't play spec. teams. I thought Thrash outplayed both last year & earned time at wr, plus he just restructured/extended.

They are close to a deal with Yoder from what I understand...or better said, Yoder deal close to they areYoder does pretty good for what he's asked to do and for the money he's paid.

Man, does anybody miss my man R. Royal. Dude was a great TE. In the red zone back in 04' dude was like money. Real sorry we let him go. I really think that he and Lavar by not being on our team this past season hurt us bad. Just saying..........
