Well let me refresh your memory, monday night against the jets under SS one of the jets came on the blitz he ducked under him the player just missed taking his head off and then yanking him down from behind he then threw and completed a strike 40 yards downfield, there you go.

You can say he held the ball to long but he never had any time to hold it, no different than Brunell, only Brunell would throw the ball away the instant it was hiked, Ramsey had the guts to try and hang in the pocket and make a play with absolutly no protection, thats on the coaches. Of coarse all anyone would say about Brunell since he's been here is that he's afraid to hang in the pocket and make a play. Guys around here make it sound as if Ramsey had all day to throw, let alone just adequet protection, THAT WAS NEVER THE CASE!

As for arm strength, Campbell has no where's near the arm that Ramsey has, Cambpell despite what some may think does not possess a big arm he has maybe slightly above average arm strength.

I am curious, who on our roster was going to play ahead of Pennington? The fact is no one on our roster could make the Jets team [other than Campbell], they don't waste thier time with has beens and never been's, it's nice to see a team doing what they are supposed to be doing grooming a young guy for the backup position and as a future starter, who also could bring back a lot of value in a trade once he developes, lucky us we have no one who can step in and lead this team if Campbell goes down, and we really don't know if Campbell can lead?

I think it's an absolute joke that Brunell is being considered for the primary backup, A JOKE! Of coarse why stop now it was the biggest joke around the league when we traded for him.

Help me out O, what is it you.........like about the Skins? By appearances, the only player you have any regard for is gettin' his ass kicked off his second team.
Let's see, Coach sucks, players suck, etc sucks, except PR. Let's take the short list. What Do you LIKE about the Redskins?
Are you like the Anti-fan in disguise?

All I know is that Portis said that with Campbell's arm strength they should be having someone running the deep post every play. Sounds like he's got more than enough arm for the job. Plus, I saw more than a little sizzle on several throws. Strong as Ramsey's? Maybe, Maybe not. If you've got something definitive, I'll be glad to look at it.

As for the Jets not wasting their time on "never been's", they did, in fact, trade a sixth round choice to us for a "never been".

As for "better than Pennington" - TAKE THE DAMN JOB! THAT'S WHAT PENNINGTON DID! Right out of Ramsey's great arm and tough as nails attitude.

I do believe he has plenty of arm to make all the throws, at least I hope he does, but Ramsey's arm strength is exceptional I just pointed that out thats all.

Most young QB's are never been's, the Jets maybe high on this kid casey but I saw him in pre-season and I didn't see anything that made me think this kid is much of a QB, perhaps he developes? But I was unimpressed when I saw him play late in the pre-season, but that's thier problem, funny the Jets did give Ramsey a contract extension last year didn't they?

So Campbell doesn't have, according to Offiss Hawkings, the arm strength that Ramsey does. And I'm assuming you're also saying that overall Ramsey is better than Campbell. Yet then you say Campbell could make the Jets team...the same Jets team that's eager to unload Ramsey.

And now they are looking to recoup the draft pick they wasted on him. The extension was actually a slap in that it was meant as a one-year insurance policy and Ramsey was looking for a longer deal that would be crafted in a manner that would insure his stay in New York.

As for "exceptional arm strength", the same could be said for Kyle Boller but so f'*** what? Truthfully, that's all Ramsey had - a big arm and the guts to get pounded and keep getting up.

Wrong, wrong wrong. Campbell's arm strength is often hidden by the fact that he has something called touch and he will actually put some air under the ball. Ramsey throws a screen just like he does a 65 yard pass. Like a dart or a javeline. No room for error from the QB and or the receiver. That is a terrible way to play quarterback. Just ask Jeff George.

I forgot just what a man-crush offiss had for Ramsey. It's good to be reminded of these thing every once in a while.

Tell me what you actually like about this team?

I guess I should say everything is golden when we are supposed to be a SB contender and winde up 5-11, I guess everything is fine when with that record we find ourselves with 1 significant draft pick, maybe thats the problem with the Skins, they can't admit they don't know what they are doing, so they continue to screw up over and over. Right now we are a 5-11 team with 1 pick, we might as well give away our late round picks the way we evaluate talent.

Unfortuantly you don't pay attention, I always said Moss was a great trade from the day it happened, I have alway's said Betts is a big time back if he recieved an opportunity and in fairness could stay healthy. I love Taylor and still feel he can be an all time great, I loved the Cooley pick at the time it happened, but I hate the fact that we don't utilize the draft, I don't want other teams castoffs.

How would you feel if we had drafted Stephen Jackson instead of trading for Portis? Or we had all our picks this year, would you rather swing a deal for Calvin Johnson, or would you rather have Lloyd and El? we have passed up so much talent, and in some cases better talent for a lot less money and this trend doesn't seem to have an end. Thats what ticks me off.

I would rather be signing the praises of the Skins but I don't sugar coat problems because of personel bias!

I stand corrected. lol

I know he actually out ran Sam Cowart for a big firstdown in that game, I don't remember who the player was that over shot him on the blitz.
I was at that game and the funny thing was Ramsey rolled left and there was no one in front of him but he still hesitated looking down field. Then it seem as the whole stadium yelled all at once Run Ramsay Run. He pulled down the ball as the cheers rang out strutted down field for what seem like a minute before reaching the 1st down marker. I don't remember him Sam chasing him because he had a wide open field and it was right in fron of us. All I can say is when Ramsey came to us I thought he was our QB for the future which did not work out. I would not write him off as a many of players have found their stride late in their career and I hope a team gives him a chance.

Really, really, really, How many passes did Campbell under throw last season? I saw probably 2 a game, I am not saying he doesn't have touch or a strong arm, all I am saying is he's not is Ramsey's league when it comes to arm STRENGTH, that is all. Ramsey has elite arm strength nothing for Campbell to ashamed of here.

I am in no means disagreeing with the Ramsey comments. But I dont recall Marino, Bledsoe, Doug Williams, Mark Rypien, Unitas, Stallback...on and on being great athletes. They could throw the ball. which Ramsey can surely do.

My thoughts are he played well in a year when Spurrier thought blocking was secondary to getting receivers down field. And absolute given no shot when Gibbs took over. 1st year in NY had to deal with Pennington being the man, never really given a shot. I think he can be a good..not great..QB. maybe get your team to the playoffs, not sure about a superbowl. But, Ramsey needs to be in a situation where he is THE MAN, where he doesn't need to look over his shoulder ever quarter.
From what your saying Ramsey needs to find without any competition for the QB spot and then he may gets his shot that he has earned. If I'm correct wasn't the Jets the only team that even showed an interest in Ramsey and their QB was injury proon and had a few week years.
