What a great guy? Please, did he leave any money on the table? And if he did, he possibly would have taken a bigger pay cut elsewhere.

Trust me, it's all business with these guys.

He IS a great guy.. and person.

Whoa... Brunell is a stand up guy and does NOT deserve this bashing. I cannot believe some of you. WITH him we made to the playoffs, FINALLY. I'm glad he's our back up. He knows Moss, he knows the plays... and he's a good person. He was being sarcastic.

But FRPLG is right. Some people are stupid and ignorant enough to think along those lines. They will show their colors soon.

Hessy, let's be real for a minute...and I'll try to leave it at this...but this guy got a huge ****HUGE***contract for one good season and a couple of very average ones. Don't tell me what a great guy he is.

If he was so great, we would have gotten his a** on the cheap from jump street!

Trust me, it's all business with these guys.Does it matter? We get the cap relief that we would have gotten if we cut him AND we got to keep our veteran backup.

This is a great deal for the team. The Brunell blinders have the ability to skew even the simplest picture.

He did a better job than a lot QBs in the NFL... enough said.

Completing passes is always a good thing. Always. Dumping the ball off is the safest way to have a successful offense.

It's not the greatest highest offensive good, that's scoring touchdowns. But completing passes is the quarterbacks job!

WORD. You're right. I doubt he gave up any money. He probably just got more of it sooner.

I'm not saying he's a bad guy. But, I'm not saying he's a good guy either.

It's NOT his fault they threw a BIG CHUNK of cash at him is it?

That's on the front office NOT BRUNELL, what would you do turn down the big check? I DON'T THINK SO

Cheaper to keep him this year, with the restructure!

For those who think that Gibbs is too close to his players to do business:

Explain why Brunell's contract automatically voids at the end of the season.
