What will your reaction be to: "With the 6th Selection, The Redskins pick...724Skinsfan 02-26-2007, 12:00 PM 1) Alan Branch - Michigan 2) Ganes Adams - Clemson 3) Jamaal Anderson - Arkansas TheMalcolmConnection 02-26-2007, 12:04 PM Honestly, I've said it before and I'll say it again: it's a win-win-win situation. We'd be VERY hard pressed to mess this up unless we take a corner or OL. Schneed10 02-26-2007, 12:08 PM 1) Alan Branch - Michigan: Sweet! The return of the blitz to our defense! Now we have a defensive front that can stop the run and put offenses in long 2nd and 3rd downs, allowing us to get up after the QB on blitzes. 2) Ganes Adams - Clemson: I dunno, with this guy's size, I don't see how we're going to stop any RBs with two DEs under 270 pounds. Stupid pick. 3) Jamaal Anderson - Arkansas: Alright, I'll take it. Big enough to stop the run, quick enough to sack the QB. I'd rather have the DT, but this fills a need. GTripp0012 02-26-2007, 12:18 PM 1) What Schneed said. 2) Gaines Adams-I like the player, but what's going to become of Andre Carter? Surely we aren't considering starting Gaines Adams at one end and Carter at the other? We are getting a great player, but we aren't maximizing the versatility of the pick. 3) I don't like the pick. He's bigger than Adams, but does that mean he's going to be any better vs the run? We still have a gap at DT, and Anderson has major bust potential. Just not enough film on him to justify taking him this high. 12thMan 02-26-2007, 12:42 PM I'll tell you what will throw a cog in the wheel, let Calvin Johnson slip through the cracks. People at Redskins Park will start to scramble! Duffman003 02-26-2007, 01:08 PM Does anyone know why Mel Kiper moved Alan Branch went from 7th overall to 20th? because now the 19 year old dude from louisville is the number one DT to Mel MTK 02-26-2007, 01:25 PM No matter who the pick is I can't wait to see the (over)reactions here. ;) Daseal 02-26-2007, 01:25 PM If Calvin Johnson falls, we'll have two options. 1) Get a really good trade for him. 2) Draft an amazing WR. Not a need, but definitely the best player available. That Guy 02-26-2007, 01:26 PM cause branch may be a bit lazy? none of them are bullet proof this year. Hog1 02-26-2007, 01:31 PM Worst case, put Calvin in Burgundy and Gold, and do what the Colts have done in the past..............outscore everybody else |
