You mean the same way we picked Carlos Rogers when we had a glaring need at corner instead of picking Shawne Merriman, yeah passing on a phenom reciever who ran a 4.3 forty at 6'5" would definately be the smart thing, god knows Brandon Lloyd,James Thrash and Randle El just strike fear in the heart of opponents.
LOL! What are you talking about?? They don't remind you of the Posse?? aka Monk, Clark and Sanders. :)

To be honest, this is kind of a moot point, because Johnson won't be there when we pick anyway

no it isnt... if mcintosh is good he would have played over warrick holdman, just like taylor got his chance and lavar too ended up starting his rookie season. giving guys time to develope on defense is a myth. this isnt quarterback. oh and about those bad knees.....he never missed a game in his penn state carreer buddy. ripped his knee in half in that last game against florida state, made it back to start game 1 the folllowing year. bad knees!!! give me a break. the athletism comment is also dumbfounding to me because there is no way you watched penn state play the last two years if you make that comment. plus i want a football player not an athlete playing linebacker, poslz is twice the player mcintosh is on the football field...look at the production in college and compare them and then tell me why mcintosh couldnt crack the starting line up until game 14

I'm not sure why people around here don't want to trade a back up running back( with fumbling issues) for a proven, pro bowl middle linebacker. we definitely need someone in the middle. yet, on the flip side, alot of these same people seem to have no problem signing a 32 year old middle linebacker, when the last 2 times we have tried that, have failed miserably( trotter, barrow)? by signing fletcher, this puts the skins in the exact same position they are in , about 2 seasons from now. this is assuming they can get 2 years out of fletcher
If we don't fix the line then it does not matter who we bring in to play MLB.

I would be amazed if Posluszny is picked in the first round. I watched him play many many times in college. He was a great college player, but that doesn't mean it will translate at the next level. Just watch. He will fall. Also didn't we fire the LB coach because he was a hack. It's not Rocky's fault the coach was an idiot. I mean anyone who keeps Holdman on the field that long has no business coaching in the NFL. Everything I saw from McIntosh when he did play seemed like he has lots of potential.
I say if the Redskins pick at #6 and Anderson is gone they will go with Amobi Okoye. He will be the first DT taken. Branch has underachiever written all over him.

I don't have a problem with Okoye. It seems that he is still growing into his body. Why do you say this about Branch? He was a very productive player at Mich. Anderson only had one good year and was on no one's radar a year ago.

I am weary of another small DE but I liked what G. Adams had to say in this article:
washingtonpost.com (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/02/24/AR2007022401288.html)
If they're worried about drafting a small DE, a trade down to get Carricker makes sense as he is likely to be around mid to late first rnd.

we can still get a quality linemen later in the draft. and having quality in the middle, the guy calling the shots, could help a ton. it seemed like guys were out of position all the time last year.
